PAIN please help! Thrombosed Hemorrhoid!!

I have had 3 days of terrible pain from thrombosed hemorrhoid!! Can anyone help me with what works??
I've been doing sitz baths, and using the steroid suppositories. Not helping.
anything work besides time???
HELP appreciated!!

Oh i feel your pain. I had one this time last year. It was horrible. I had mine surgically removed. Afterwards it was sooooo much better. It still took a week to completely heal. Had to do the sitz baths and take miralax. Have you contacted your gi dr about this?

Ouch! I had one once while on a road trip. It actually ended up bursting - there was a huge clot on the floor the size of a dime, and it bled so bad I wore a pad for the rest of the trip. But the relief was SO much better! I would give your GI a call and look into having it surgically fixed, like Bucko said.

I can't EVER get right in to my GI. Actually have only seen the Nurse Practitioner. Except when he did my colonoscopy. (recent state move). Last time I had this the NP gave me the suppositories after doing a rectal exam, which made it worse. WHY oh WHY was this necessary. I know there are other things more serious with this DD. but hoping it will burst I guess. ugh miserable.

If you can't get in touch with your GI that is not a functional situation. You need to be able to communicate when necessary.
Can you get his direct email?
Maybe just go straight to a colorectal surgeon who deals with Ibd pts and have them take care of it for you?...
