Last year in May I was diagnosed with moderate Crohn's disease and they found some ulcers in my stomach with a colonoscopy. They put me on remicade for every 2 months but for insurance reasons I stopped taking remicade and it's been 6 months since my last infusion. Ive felt fine these past 6 months and I've been taking probiotics everyday, but today after some exercise and eating after being hungry there's this pain in the pit of my stomach. Should I be worried? It's subsiding now. Also I'm always afraid I'm going to die someday. Will I die? I'm only 22 and afraid but it's moderate crohns so it shouldn't be too bad, right?
I've had crohns since 1999. I was getting really bad pains in the pit of my stomach, mostly after eating, several months ago. I had had them before but they always wanted to check my gallbladder. Every time my gallbladder was fine. A few months ago when I started having them again I thought I may have had stomach cancer, when that came back neg, we thought it was an ulcer. That came back neg. we then found out it was really bad acid reflux. My dr prescribed me an anti acid and I haven't had those pains since.
