So today, my 3 year old daughter decided she was big enough to "wipe" herself after pooping without telling me. I went into the bathroom because I heard her struggling with something, and she was sitting on the floor trying to get her underwear on. I smelled the poop (she hadn't flushed yet) and asked her if Daddy had wiped her. She proudly said, "I did it all by myself!"
So after cleaning up the mess on the floor and wiping her properly, I told her that she could try it by herself but then needed Mommy or Daddy to come help make sure she got all the poop off. I told her that if the poop didn't come all the way off, it would make her bottom owie. She looked at me and said indignantly, "Well, that is not very nice at all! Poop is just not nice, Mommy."
I thought about
my Crohn's and said, "You're right. Poop is not very nice to us at all!"
