I was just wondering how many of you crohnies experience major bloating after eating? I sometimes look 6 months pregnant after a meal. And i really dont eat that much.

I do, depending on what I eat. Have you kept track of when it's happening and what you've eaten?

the only time I get bloated is if I'm constipated for a few days

Scifigal...it doesnt seem to matter what i eat. Everything makes me extremely bloated.

Billo...well im definitely not constipated. I have the opposite major diarrhea...like 6 to 8 times a day.

Jen...i always have to wear pants with stretchy waistband. Im normal size all over except my bloated belly

Bucko, are you sure you don't have SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth )? Bloating happens to me when I have this bacterial overgrowth.

Yes! can't find any correlation to food but I still get it though I think its less bothersome because I've gotten used to it.

Minnietoty...Ive never been tested for SIBO. I guess i can ask my new gi dr about it when i see him in january

I just googles SIBO. I actually have 6 of the 10 symptoms. Why hasnt any of the drs suspected this. I might be feeling better if they had.

IDK mine have never mentioned it either and I have about the same # of symptoms. I may be wrong but I don't think all docs are in agreement that it can be a problem.

or maybe if they biopsied during scopes it would show up? not sure if it would or not
