Question about Remicade infusion : Does after 4 weeks mean after 28 days?

I would think it would be day 28, no? counting-wise it would land on the same day each time. But i don't think taking it on the 29th day is going to make too much difference either.

Minnie, I was on the 4 week schedule & the drs office scheduled me 4 weeks apart, not once a month. Mine were done at the hospital as an outpatient. If the 28th day fell on a weekend I either had it on a Friday or the following Monday.

Ditto with straydog. That's how mine works also...but we never go a day late now....we go the day early.

We have been playing with my dosage and timeframe also. I can honestly say that after 6 months (max amount min time ) I felt better this time after my infusion. (Like I used to prior to surgery.) We could get the antibodies down to 0 but I was burning thru Remicade like crazy. I have had Prometheus Answer tests once or twice every 4 weeks and my level was at 3.6 for awhile and suddenly this time I can feel the difference. I think it will test out at about 5... My doctor wanted to see if we could get a variance and go every 3 weeks if this didn't work. We doubled my methotrexate level. I take pills and an infusion for now. Once trough levels stabilize we will back off the infusion, wait a couple months and if steady lengthen the time period gradually back to 8 and then try lowering the amount... He said if it works it will be a long slow process. I am hopeful for the first time in a long time....
