Question about Cigna Home Delivery pharmacy

My insurance (Cigna) said I have to filly my Humira specialty rx medication through Cigna Home Delivery Pharmacy.

I was sent a letter saying that if I continue to fill the specialty medication at a retail pharmacy, I will be required to pay full price.

Anyone think this is normal or does it sound odd?

I used to have Aetna and they let me go through a brick/mortar specialty pharmacy.

The wording from Cigna sounded suspicious to me. Almost as if I was being strongarmed and I know it sounds silly but I wonder if Cigna is even giving me legitimate Humira. How do I know its not fake? Humira isn't cheap; maybe I'm being overly paranoid

I wouldn't worry about the mail order. I would much rather comply than pay out of pocket. A company the size of CIGNA who has been in business for ions & they are not going to risk their business to play a dirty game like you are thinking. It was years ago when I was put on Humira & using the specialty pharmacy for it was part of the program. You may feel strong armed by the company, but there are plenty of posts here at Healing Well about Humira being a specialty pharmacy medication. Now that I think about it, when our plan got switched to BCBS it was the same too.

Change can be hard for some of us, but I am with Mrs. Brady, I liked knowing when it would be here, could order online & didn't have to go to a pharmacy to pick it. Always arrived cold & no issues.
