white meat is my default as it is easier for me to digest. I do like a good steak, but limit my intake to special events. My GI would always tell me to chew it to a pulp, as it is harder to break down a steak. Ground beef is a better option for me, because of that.
Again, my own experience with it and your experience may very much differ.
