people on entyvio - can you describe your experience of having a cold or flu while on Entyvio? This is supposed to be the only associated side effect (upper respiratory infections). I had a cold last week that lasted a full week. then i got another infusion and got an even worse upper respiratory infection with a bad productive cough and chills. if you have had a cold while on Entyvio, was it particularly bad and did it eventually go away? I am losing hope!

I have not been on entyvio, but their website clearly states not to have an infusion if you have the flu or an infection. I don't understand why the infusion nurse not putting the infusion off until you were well. Did you see your pcp & get tested for the flu? In the future let your gi know if you are sick. I wouldn't give up on the medication. It sounds like you had something brewing & it went full bloom perhaps after the infusion.

i did put off the infusion and felt well for 1 week prior to getting the next infusion. I have also gotten gastroenteritis while on Entyvio which was also very severe.

I had a few bad colds/sinus stuff while I was on Entyvio. Things settled in my sinuses and I'd get a horrendous cough. I think it took me 2-3 weeks to get better, and things lingered maybe a bit longer. You will get better!

Maybe it's time to visit your gi & perhaps moving to something else. It's bad enough dealing with the disease but if the negative side effects are not manageable maybe considering trying Stelara. We are seeing some good results here with Stelara users.
