Got told yesterday that I need a pacemaker❤
Have had afib for years . but its progressive and gets worse over time. I also have tachy-brady syndrome. After all the tests, studies etc.. And after June's hospital episode, they decided that with my particular circumstances, and type of electrical short in the heart that meds won't do anything. Sooo we are going with a lead less pacemaker which is put inside the heart. Not right away , maybe late October is best guess. Yay for me. 😁

Oh Randy, I'm sorry.
AFIB is awful. One of my family members had it. He had an ablation and it helped with it the majority of the time. But now his BP goes up but his heart rate stays the same. You really have to watch your salt, hydration, work and rest times... Along with stress.
I'll keep you in my prayers..

Randy, my husband has a pacemaker, they tried an ablation which didn't help at all. Two of our friends have pacemakers & all are doing well. If I remember correctly he was sore for about
2 weeks. He goes every 6 months for a check up to make sure it's still working properly.
Let us know when you get scheduled.

Fine. Dr told me last Tuesday that she was accelerating the time table but still haven't heard from scheduling. Will have to call them tomorrow I guess.😋

Randy,
Checking in on you.... How are you doing?
How long was the surgery? Hopefully it stopped the AFIB?

Hey clo, it took about
2 hrs after 1/2 HR of prepping. Still going into afib. But not as often or as long or fast. Going for a adjustment on the 21st. The thing it seems to have solved so far is the low beats and pvc's. Before I would be all over from 40's to 60's while at rest. Now I'm steady between 60-67. So when I go for the check up, they will fine tune with the computer and WiFi and hopefully rectify the rest.😇

Randy, glad to read you are having improvement. Yes, they do have to fine tune them. My husband has a gadget that is on a shelf in our room, not far from the bed & it records his pacemaker to make sure everything is working as it should.

Had my check up yesterday. After checking with the computer, dr determined that it is firing 76% of the time. A lot apparently. She turned it off for a minute and my pulse went down to 40 very quickly. Turned it back on and everything was fine. 😋. That's my update🤗
