Hello all,
I am interested to know if anyone has had issues with very unpleasant body odor. I was told by a nutritionist that I have leaky gut (paid a couple thousands because she didn’t accept insurance). It’s as if the order comes through the pores. It has a metallic like smell. My nutritionist that I just spoke with is saying it has to be food related and that something I am eating must be contaminated with the items that I am allergic to or items that cause inflammation. It’s very costly to see her but I’m going to have to go. It cost $1k just for the one panel of blood test. But I am willing to pay the price to get this figured out. I tried adding back eggs to my diet and I could not even keep them down.

I don't recall anyone talking about body odor over the years, it's never been a problem with me.

I don't know what to say about asking to work from home, especially since it's a new job. Leaky gut is not considered a medical disease so I don't think you would qualify under the ADA rules. There is so much controversy on the internet about leaky gut, I stick with the well known medical sites when looking things up. If I recall you have a 90 day probation period at your new job, be careful if you haven't met it.

If you are dealing with slow moving bowels try Colace or Miralax to help move things along, both are gentle & will not give you diarrhea.

I have crohns per biospy but the Dr said it looks like UC. I’ve been on Stelara for over a year now I believe. It was helping but now the levels are going up. I do work from home 3 days a week. I have IBS too. The uncomfortable gas (the source of the odor is inability to adequately evacuate I think) just got so bad I had to say something about the fact I have a health condition. Hopefully it won’t have negative consequences. I was told that there is no probationary period, so we’ll see.
