FINALLY! but the flagyl makin me feel crappy.

if any of you remember i talked about a soreness or swelling or REAL hard to Sit on my bottom left butt cheek for months at times.

I thought it was the Pain killers etc..

Anyways, It finally DRAINED 200ml atleast.. Turns out it was my fistula THANK GOD!
it drained A LOT.. Color changed and now i can SIT. I am on Flagyl..


im happy about that.. Good news..



Anyways, Why does flagyl make you feel so Crappy?
It makes me feel Brain fogged... Tired.. Depressed.. just like i wanna sleep with headaches..
it makes me not even want to take my xanax because im already foggy..

Not sure why flagyl is making you feel cruddy, but I hated flagyl when I was on it as well. The constant metal in my mouth drove me nuts!

I am glad you were able to figure it out and hope you feel better soon! I was on flagyl twice in February back to back because my dr suspected I might have a bacterial overgrowth. I managed the first lot fine but was only on 2 doses a day. The next time I was on 3 doses a day and it kicked my butt! I told my GI that I never never want that stuff again. By the 4th day into it I was vomiting and had massive diarrhea. Now I have not had a solid bowel movement since and I swear it is flagyls fault. Prior to that I never had issues with diarrhea, multiple bowel movements yes, but not diarrhea. I akso have tingling in my fingers off and on.

Glad you found the source of the pain, but I sure empathize with the Flagyl distress! I hate that stuff. I always feel really bad when I'm on it (lethargic, even) and nauseous, etc., etc. Plus the taste. Ick. How long do you have to stay on it?

Hope you are feeling a little better...

it can do that. welcome to flagyl. watch out for side effects - tingling extremities and metal taste in your mouth are two common ones. this drug is not meant for long term, but docs use it long term. shortly after stopping the drug, these side effects go away, but in rare cases, especially if you are on it for too long (that is individualistic) the side effects can be permanent to varying degrees. just FYI....
