Crohns and passing it to your children?

I have not read most of the responses so I am probably relaying what you have already figured out and what has been said. It is possible that it can be passed between generations. My grandpa on my mom's side as well as my mom had it as well as myself. Unfortunately my 14 year old daughter is starting to show signs of it as well. But so far hers seems to fall more under the category of IBS type symptoms. My 6 year old son we were afraid somehow also had that and my GERD when he was younger because he was always throwing up and had really bad bowel movements but over the last couple years he seems to have grown out of that and seem to be perfectly healthy. On the positive side, if there really is one, if by chance you do have children and they end up with it you will be able to nurture and help them along and hopefully help in prolonging any of the serious stuff we deal with now. I am just old enough that these things were not discussed openly nor were they diagnosed very well either so alot of information didnt get shared on what and how to do things and take care of things. Just kinda dealt with it as it happened.
Good luck and dont let it persuade you to not have children because there is still a good chance they will not have any issues. Hopefully this was somewhat helpful. take care.
