First Visit To An Immunologist

I had my first visit today.  I wish had gone to see one along time ago.  He seemed to know more about the systemic problems that this disease can cause.  I had just seen my regular doctor and a gastro doctor over the years.  He told me he was  going to take action in my case as of the first of the year and was going to change my meds and try to take the predisone away after two years of being on it.  He wanted me to get through the holidays first.

I am interested as well.  He went over calcium, bone, and joint issues. He seemed to understand the systemic part of this disease.  I have had gall stones, kidney stones w/ chronic infection, joint pain, headaches, gastritis, and inflammation strictures over the years.  I developed new health issues with long-term predisone use which I did not feel were being addressed in my previuos care. I moved and was sent to this doctor by a referral from a co-worker. He did tell me something I did not know before that CD can affect your glands.
