Sunday tlc

*stares vacantly at the blank screen*

Oh! I'm so full of inspiration this morning

Um.... Oh, yes.

* clean sink
* do dishes
* nurse animals and myself through the heat
* keep working on washing, because at least it should dry well today

Um.......

* hide in the lounge room, where it's coolest, and watch the cricket
* fold the clothes
* shock, horror! maybe put away the Christmas tree and decorations???
* shock, horror! cont., maybe do some church stuff , or write some of the zillions of letters I owe, or phone someone
* see if I can put away 100 things? maybe?


I'm starting to wonder if maybe God has decided to *smite* Australia this year. We seem to be having natural disasters everywhere this month - floods, heatwaves, fires, cyclones, severe storms, etc etc etc etc etc...

I wish you could too, NCOT. But only in moderation, please: I like to look at Macquarie Island's forecast on days like today, but even it sounds too bleak to me. (Forecast for today: a bit cloudy; minimum of 5C, maximum of 8C).

Sorry about your headaches and nausea. I hope alka seltzer does the trick and that you feel much better soon.

I agree with you Ivy. I like the christmas decorations - I won't put them back up, but my hubby does. He waits and waits for me to put it away, but tbh, I just like it, so I never do. So, he finally gives up on me, and packs it away.

My to do for for Sunday:
* Complete a little bit of work (maybe 2 hours)
* Do dishes
* Clear out old stuff from fridge
* Fold and iron some laundry (I have a huge pile)
* Get 1/2 hour of exercise
* File and trim nails

NCOT, I hope you have a nice restful day. Ivy, are you feeling a little better after the Humira? I hope so. Do rest so you don't overdo it. Cricket sounds great - I remember spending days watching matches when I lived in India. I wish I'd get cricket on TV here. Just a little jealous here

Re xmas tree and decorations. I always have to have mine down New Year's Eve(as in like them down for start of new year) I spent the morning taking everything down and packing it away ready to put back in attic, then decided to take the dog for a walk. Guess what-I came back from the walk and the b****y tree was back up, decorations lights and everything!!!!! DS and DH had huge grins on their faces!!! Hilarious(not)

Hi all. Ivy I'm so sorry the heat is taking so much out of you. I guess drink plenty of fluids and just try to stay cool. I can totally understand how doing a bunch of work when it's so hot can be exhausting. I hope tomorrow is better.

I am not making much progress today either. I think yesterday was a busy day, and now I don't feel up to doing anything. I guess I'll see how I feel later this afternoon.

NCOT, I hope you enjoy Battle Royale. I too have wished that my hubby had UC instead of crohn's, and I've had to learn to accept the crohn's diagnosis. My wishing is ultimately a negative thought and not conducive to me facing my life and makes me feel worse. Talking to my therapist, she told me to be aware of my thoughts, and to recognize when I have a negative thought, and snap a rubberband around my wrist to make me more aware that I'm having a bad thought. And slowly I learned that I had SOOOO much negativity in my head because I was snapping that darned rubber band all the time. And then, learned to try to see the positive side of things - I don't always succeed, but it's better for me than always seeing the negatives. I hope perhaps you can give this a try.

Gail, rest up. I hope the fibro will get under control soon.

Gail, my mom says the same thing. When it's monsoon season at home, she is miserable with joint pain, and when it's sunny, the joint pain gets better. She has RA. I guess it's an atmospheric pressure thing.

I don't know how, but my husband has convinced me to go bowling with another couple this afternoon. I suck at it. I also have a damaged right rotator cuff, which hates bowling, but he's so enthused (I think it's the prednisone), that I said ok, we'll go. I hope I don't need another cortisone shot in my shoulder after bowling! I'll try to just take it easy. Wish me luck!

I'm back!!!!! Totally exhausted but hey it was SO worth it!!! So my weekend went abit like this

* thursday - arrived about half 3 (train assistance arrived and was AMAZING). My mate ran alittle late picking me up cos i requested she drop in to a chemist and pick up more glucose tablets. She raved about my hair (didnt tell her earlier) and we went for a short drive around the cotswolds. Arrived at her house and got settled in. Met her dad and brother. We then went swimming and sat in a jaccuzi for two hours. Lovely!!

* Friday - we went to gloucester cathedral, then walked over to a gorgeous cafe, had lunch then walked across the the alley to the Tailor of Gloucester which is a SWEET little beatrix potter museum. I started a tradition of buying one of the books each time i'm in gloucester (only 21 left to buy then!). Headed back to the cotswolds and i climbed a small hill (super hard work) took some photos, then went back to her house. Exhausted but pulled round enough to head back out to the Champions Tour (horse thing) hilarious but not educational.

* Saturday - slept in, REALLY late. Went up to my friends yard and petted her pony. She offered to let me get on for a walk round but i was scared so i didnt. Gutted. Snogged one of the champion dressage ponies on box rest. Headed back to her house. Had the best bath in the whole existance of baths!! Went out to dinner with mates family. Had a laugh although was let down by one friend. Bugged us both to see me/us, she chose the day and time of the dinner then turned her phone off and didnt bother to show up. Played with my mate's bearded dragon called Arnie. Very cool!!!

Sunday - Slept badly so dozed for abit. Packed up and gave my thanks to mates family. Mate then sneakily drove me to cheltenham train station to save me getting a bus from gloucester. Train was ok, assistance arrived again. Home again and had a nap.

Gut was ok, but got abit 'shy' so didnt go very often. Ate alot though (for me). Throughly enjoyed myself though. Mate didnt let me pay for pretty much everything. I spent twenty quid the whole weekend. I'll get her back for it though!!

GI appt tomorrow - bleurgh!

We met at Uni, and we just clicked. I think it was cos we're both a couple of years older than the others we were with plus she has lived abroad alot. She's going travelling in the summer and i will miss her terribly, although i have been assured i will recieve lots of postcards!

Piggies do sound lovely. I'd love to have one or two but mum has put her foot down! Yeah the general plan is some rest but i want to keep walking as well. Its just keeping the motivation!

Not usually on the computer this late but hubby has a migraine so we just did laundry and came home. He is taking a little nap now so hope that helps him feel better. He is a pretty healthy guy, but this migraines hit him pretty hard. Not too often, but about every couple of months. Poor guy!

So as I said I only got the laundry done and put away. Don't mind being a slug though, as this rain storm has me kinda achy. But...I usually lay on the sofa and hubby sits on the love seat. Had to give up my couch so hubby could get rid of his migraine, and me trying to relax on the love seat is just not comfortable for me, so decided to check the forums. LOL

Hoping you all had a good day. Glad to see you had fun Choc, you deserve it after all you have been thru of late. Hang in there NCOT better days are ahead. And big hugs to you!

I don't think it's too late to turn things around and have an enjoyable life. I think when you're in the deepest, you can't see out. You can't see that your life can be anything besides what it is now. But there is a better place, and it is possible for you to get there.

I know it sounds simplistic and stupid, but can you try telling yourself positive things instead of saying what a bad person you are? Everyone has bad thoughts, and has done things they're not proud of. You're not alone in that. It doesn't mean you're a bad person though. You have to forgive yourself for the things you think make you a bad person. You really do need to put things in the past. Life isn't worth it if you focus your energy dwelling on what you did that you wish you could take back. All of us wish we could take back things, but it's not possible, so you just have to move forward and not repeat those things. We all see that you are of worth, and are just in a depressing place in your life, but things can improve. I believe you can enjoy life. I believe things can get better for you.

And please, don't stop posting because you're worried what someone will think about your posts. Ok? Please don't leave.
