Flu shots !

Hello there, I was just wandering since I saw a tv programm that really recommands people with chronic deceases to get flu shot because they're more likely to get complication.
They were like (In french) : People with chronic decease as diabet, or cardiovascular problem and other chronic decease (without naming them) should get a flu shot. Do we count it those ?
When you have a chronic desease it's free in Canada but I don't feel very weeked by the decease and or more likely to get complication of flu. Never had problem, rarely have a flu (Like one by year, always get better like anybody) I don't take Immunosupressant for the momment (Cross fingers) Should I be really worried of those ''complication''?
