Dr suggestions for mayo in Jacksonville

I am thrilled that I finally got an appointment at the mayo clinic in Jacksonville for June. I was put on the waiting list in february! I was assigned to dr. Picco. Has anyone heard anything about him? Also, does anyone have another gastro doc you would recommend at the Jacksonville mayo? Thank you!!!

I was just there and your assigned DR will likely not be the one you are really working with. At least that was my case, I was working with a Fellow. I did see my assigned GI, but very briefly and it was the Fellow who was ordering tests and actually listening to my symptoms. Everyone was very nice, but I do not know about the one you were assigned.

Congrats on getting an appt!! I know the feeling of waiting.

Wow, what a long wait for an appt. I have seen Dr. Cangemi and he was very good, very smart. Gosh, they must have gotten really short staffed and backed up if you don't see the doctor you have an appt with. That never used to be the case. Have you tried Borland Groover clinic? I heard Dr. Ezchorn there was good but I've never been scoped or treated there. Good luck!!! It used to be you could get an appt there quickly. I wonder what's up??? Did they lose half their staff or something?
