I had an endoscope and a colonoscopy on Tuesday and no bowel movement since. A lot of pain/discomfort between shoulder blades and down to my lower back. Any suggestions to how and relieve the pain?

Hi,

I think I would be contacting my GI that performed the tests.  Are you passing gas?  You didn't mention if they saw anything in the tests.

It's always best to check with our Dr. Never experienced this.

Most likely gas pain.....you can feel it that high up. I would take a fiber supplement or maybe a stool softener.

ITA w/scifigal. After the cleanout for a scope your bowel is empty. It's not surprising that you haven't had a BM since Tuesday. I'm sure you'll get there - sorry for the gas pain in the meanwhile.

Thank you all for the replies. I have found relief. I took 2 Ducolax, Gas X and 2 Ibuprofen at night before bed. The following morning I had a BM and the gas pain was much better. By Sunday morning there was no more pain under the shoulder blades. I do have a Dr. appointment on September 23rd. T After the scope the Dr. did tell me that there was evidence of swelling and constipation. Waiting for the biopsy results now.
