Hi minnietoty,
They don't have Agiolax in the US but I looked up the ingredients online. It has fiber, much like metamucil, and senna. The fiber should be fine because it will go to your colon, not your small intestine where your ileum is. The senna causes your colon to contract which helps with the constipation. Prior to my re-section surgery, I found the senna to be too irritating to my ileum, which is what I suspect is happening to you. I don't know that it its triggering Crohn's, but the contractions are probably causing you the pain. I did think the senna was the best thing when I was very constipated. My suggestion is that you get some psyllium fiber and use it daily, and then use the agiolax when you are very backed up, or maybe 2-3 times a week and see if that works. Being very constipated also made my ileum area hurt, so it can't be good for you.
