how long till i get relief?

Hey everyone im new here and in the process of getting diagnosed, my doctor said she thinks my little episodes are something more then gerd so im set up for EDG and colonoscopy wensday and ive been in this current episode for over a month :( so my question is how long till i get meds? Do they give them after colonoscopy or do i gotta wait several weeks :)

Difficult to say - they will be able to tell you some things straight away after your scope, for example if there is active inflammation or evidence of previous inflammation. They will also take biopsies and these will take longer to get the results. So I guess how quickly you'll get meds, depends on what they find.

That's understandable. I'm sure the colonoscopy will help you get to the bottom of things and onto the right treatment as soon as possible.
