I ended up in the hospital over the weekend through today due to a partial obstruction, which was actually quite frustrating as the ER referred me to my surgeon for my Crohn's, and not my GI doctor. Care was very lackluster due to this, and I am actually still a little frustrated due to this all.
Anyway, I found out that my body has built up antibodies against Tysabri... so it is done working for me. I got about 3 years out of it, so I can't complain. I was able to get about 5 out of Remicade before the same thing happened. Just sucks that my body does these things.
I have been through them all.. Cimzia, Humira, and all the lower meds that never work for me. I am back on prednisone temporarily to calm me down in between. I definitely hope the wall near where my ileum used to be is just thickened due to inflammation, and not a permanent stricture. I guess we will see.
I have talked about Entyvio with my doctor before, actually at my appointment with him maybe a month ago. Do you think that would work if I am immune to Tysabri (since those both are similar)? And I think my other option is Stelara? Is there anything else we can try? I am meeting with my GI on the 12th of January to discuss options.
Just curious what my next journey should be. I am a little sad about the Tysabri, but at the same time a little relieved as I always had that PML thing in the back of my mind...
Thanks everyone!
