This is probably a pretty strange question, but I am in pain and I figured I'd take my chances. I am still very new to Crohn's Disease and actually still waiting for a definitive confirmation through biopsy. I took budesonide for 3 weeks, but it didn't help me, so I am currently medfree pending further medical exams.
Ok, that was just to provide you with some background information. Now to my question: a few days ago, my right calf started to hurt a little. Nothing spectacularly painful, but enough for me to notice it. Over the past 2 days it seems to have gotten a lot worse: it not only hurts when I am walking, but it keeps me awake at night. If it stays like this or gets any worse I want to visit my doctor. If however this is some strange side effect of Crohn's that I have never heard of I might be better of contacting my GI directly. So, that brings me here: does this sound familiar to any of you? Could it be related to my abdominal mayhem? Or is it more likely to be just a strange coincidence? A final FYI: I have not done any exercise apart from my daily walks and I have definitely not twisted my leg or anything like that. Any advise would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
