Stopping a PPI for 5 days

I am having a comprehensive stool study done by an intergrative doctor. I am supposed to stop antacids for 2 days prior then do a sample for 3 days equaling 5 days total.. I have been on prevacid for a little less than 2 months. Are you supposed to taper off these or is it ok to stop for a few days?

It's okay to just stop it for a few days. I'm on nexium and omeprazole, and I forget to take mine all the time. I'll just get heartburn, which will remind me, haha!

Rose*flo...ditto what scifi said. I often miss a whole weekend plus a Friday or Monday. I totally feel it when I miss it, but going back to them gets me back. I really have to get better at taking my meds...thanks for the reminder!
