So how many have you had over the years?
Today was my 8th one since this past April (had to rule out a hemorrhage due to blood thinners). I've lost count of how many I've had over the years but it has to be around 16+ total. my GI told me several months ago that I shouldn't have another one until I'm like 90years old...I've had three from other doctors since that comment >_<

hey lab. a ways back maybe 3 years ago I was put on a list of high radiation received. I would wager maybe 40 or so, not including 20+ barium studies, 40 + chest and abdominal series, radioactive pills for diagnosis back in the 80's. head xrays from very many dental things over the years etc.. I'm supposed to only have very necessary xrays from now on but we still do regular CT's just because of my situation.. not glowing yet. just in old xrays, before computer ones, my hard copy xrays were so heavy to transport that we needed a steel cart. had to have been 70 or more pounds of film .

My guess would be around 15 CT scans over the last 30 years. Plus maybe 10 small bowel series x-rays (though they have much less radiation than a CT scan), and several bone density and other x-rays. I've had one MR enterography and several MRI's of the pelvis - no radiation on those but they are more expensive and can cause more fights with insurance.
