Hi all,
I had a fistula plug operation on Tuesday and I was told I will need a nurse to pack/dress it everyday.
The nurse came round for the first time yesterday (Thursday) and started to clean the area etc. She then started to pull at the packing or at least what she thought was the packing so she could re-pack but as it wouldn't budge she left it as it was, however stuff is now hanging out more, it's kind of like white tissue and I am really worried the nurse has just pulled at the plug and dislodged it.
I am going to the hospital tomorrow so someone can check it out but I was hoping someone can advise if they have been through this themselves or if they know what the white stuff is (if it is just packing/dressing or the plug).
I really haven't had much luck with nurses and the information they have provided me regarding what to do, what they need to do and I am stressing out now.
Sorry if the above doesn't really make sense or if I have posted this thread in the wrong area.
Thanks
