Hi everyone,
After two dissapointing FiLac surgeries (or semi-dissapointing since they have improved things), it seems like I am now getting closer to proceeding with a cutting seton operation. My CRS says the Fistula has become lower so cutting is now possible. We will discuss the specifics next week.
Hippocrates (a Greek like myself
).who invented the Cutting Seton died in 370BC...So I know the process is slightly outdated, but it seems like it works. My CRS does not cut, he only uses a cutting seton..Another CRS I saw offered a fistulectomy, but it sounded too aggresive (to me at least). And I'd rather stick with my original CRS.
Folks, I've read previous posts on the forum in regards to Cutting Seton.
However, If anyone had this surgery and would be in a position to contribute the highlights of their experience, I would really appreciate it.
Best to all, good healing and keep on fighting!
