Second knee effusion...crohns joint inflammation?

Waiting for results of mri, but the orthopedic doctor seems to think these may be because of crohns related joint inflammation. The first happened in summer when I stumbled while gardening. Four months of healing, ice packs, Tylenol. All I did Saturday was kneel down on the carpet to pick something up I had dropped. Here we are again with swelling and pain, cortosine shot, ice packs, a cane. I know crohns can bring on some pretty serious arthritis issues and my dr. Is trying to get to the root of it. I am 67 years old and feel very much my age today. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Ragbag, the MRI will show if there is anything mechanically wrong with your knee. I developed osteoarthritis in my late 30's. Sounds too young, however, some people are more prone to it than others at an early age. The first time I had problems similar to yours, it went on a year. Turns out I had a tear of the meniscus which was repaired.
