Did anyone had any eye irritation after the 2nd infusion of Remicade?

I had my 2nd infusion of Remicade yesterday and since today morning I’ve been having some eye irritation as if there’s something in my eye. I see some dark red spots on the white of my eye too. My throat is scratchy along with a headache.
Would appreciate your answers.

There are many that have mild to major reactions after starting anti-TNF therapy. The most common are allergic type reactions, skin, eyes, joint pain, etc. There are pre-meds you can take to deal with these, have you been offered them? It would be wise to take them. If you've taken the pre-meds and are still having any sort of reaction, you'll have to judge just how much you can put up with. Most of these mild symptoms subside after several days.

Welcome to the forum. As stated above you need to discuss premeds with your dr before your next infusion. More gi's are having their patients take an OTC antihistamine 45 minutes prior to their infusion, it's more cost efficient. Just make sure it's not benadryl because of it's sedating side effects. If this were me & I was still having issues today, I would go ahead with an antihistamine.

Also, keep in mind your symptoms can be seasonal related, it's that time of year again.

Remicade also lowers your immune system, so if you were starting to get a cold, then it could have just sped up the symptoms.

Thanks everyone for your replies. My doctor did give me pre med, which was steroid and Tylenol. He did ask for Benadryl but I didn’t take it as I was gonna drive.
Today is 3rd day and after effects of the infusion have gone down a bit.
