Hey guys,
I'm fairly new to the board, but I've been a reader for years now. I've heard such good things from Canada Mark, 25wcolitis, and others here about wild oregano oil that I've decided to try it myself. After having Crohn's for 10 years, I've only been in remission ONCE, and that was with remicade. (After 1 yr, I developed dyshidrotic eczema on my hands + feet and stopped treatment.) I'm now on entyvio (since Nov) but it's doing nothing. And I've been caught in a fistula infection loop since Nov. I'm desperate for a break, so I thought I'd give WOO a try. (I see surgery as a last resort...one that may be nearing.)
I'm currently in the middle of taking cipro & flagyl, but decided to switch to oregano oil today. Has anyone started the oil during a Crohn's or fistula flare? And if so, what was your experience like?
How soon did you notice changes?
What were your experiences in the first few days, weeks?
So far, I've been feeling a "sore" pain rather than the usual "hot poker" pain. Is this good? I guess I'm wondering if I should let the antibiotics clear things up a bit more first, or if I should stay the course with the oregano...
