Ok vets this one is for you...How many of you felt your primary Crohn's meds such as Remicaid, Humira and the like, was just not doing it's job as well as it use to before a GI or other doctor confirmed your suspicions? What were your symptoms/experiences?

When my Remicade is not working my psoriasis, mouth sores and my allergies start acting up--along with worse symptoms of arthritis, night sweats, heat intolerance and eye problems.

When I have a high amount of Remicade in my system my nasal cavities are dry, they smell and taste like metal, and it sorta vibrates in there.

When we had to up my Remicade and shorten it to every 6 weeks, I was starting to get symptoms around 7 weeks pretty badly.

To confirm your suspensions I suggest you have the promethus test done. I think it is available for remicade but I am not sure as I have not used that one.

I do know that Humira aka the name is based on Human.

Remicade is based on Mouse, and human.

Humira has less of a chance to make antibodies.

Remicade has more.

Basically you will most likely find remicade stops working at some point.
Humira has less of a chance of this happening, but it still does happen it is just much more rare.

I dunno I been on humira at least 7 years. I had the test done and it shows good still affective.
Never done remicade.
