It seems like forever since I have posted on here. Hope all are doing well. I would like for more people to post on here. It use to be a very popular support group.

I went to my gi dr today. Sad to say she is moving on to another practice. So the "fun" begins starting over with a new dr.

I have been in remission for like 3 yrs now. And now that my dr is leaving I got issues going on. First I got fissures. Very painful. I also have an internal hemorrhoid that has prolapse. My trips to bathroom daily has doubled , i also have 2 large anal skintags, sphinter muscle spasms and I'm very nauseous so I'm not eating much. I think my remission time has come to an end.

Dr gave my an ointment for the fissures. Once those heal then I go in to have the hemorrhoid banded so they will fall off. Gotta get botox injections in sphincter. Last but not least when everything heals a colonoscopy. So my next 6 months will be busy and painful. And will be dealing with a new dr.

I hope things go great and heal fast cause I'm suppose to be setting a wedding date. Yes I'm getting married for the LAST time. He is a wonderful man.

Hi Bucko, good to hear from you but sorry to read about what you are dealing with! I am assuming your dr is busy getting the referrals in order so you can get things handled. Like you I ended up with fissures, so I understand that pain.

Have you met the new gi yet? It's always hard having to switch gi's but hopefully the new one is in the same group so your records are there in front of him/her.

Glad to see an update from you, but sorry that you're having some issues. Sounds like the treatment for the fissures and hemorrhoids will be successful, so hopefully that will minimize things. Tough going to a new GI, but you have to stay positive about that. Your new GI just might be extremely good.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!! Keep us posted.

Glad to hear from you--but sad you are having issues. Congrats on your wedding,!

On the new GI--sometimes the new GI is a surprise blessing. I hope that's true in your case.

Fissures are painful. I hope they heal quickly. The banding on the hemorrhoids sounds like it'll hurt 🤕.... I hope not
