Sertraline

I have taking Sertaline. I took 750mg before they took me off it.

I had the worst experience on it. Every month I had a review with my doctor and he was asking me how I was feeling, each time I told him I was getting worse. I started with 250mg, I cannot tell you due to forum regulations about what happened to me during the time period. But within 3 months my life was hell, they decided to pull me off them as I had a fit and hospital blamed it on Anxiety.. turned out I am epileptic.

Anyhow it made me worse, I sometimes never left my room and lived the rock and roll lifestyle without the rock and sex. So you can imagine what I turned to.

However I am a different person to you so it may not have the same effect and it might not of been Major Depression which I had in the first place.

Are you people talking about the right medicine????? Sertraline is the generic of Zoloft, an antidepressant. The max dose for sertraline/Zoloft is 200mg.

Am I missing something?

I used to find Sertraline ok. I started on 50mg from what I remember, then upto 100mg when they found it wasn't quite working as well as my Mirtazapine had been. They tried to up it to 150mg when I was having a really hard time, but that's where problems occured. I am very sensetive to high prolactin levels and galactorrhea, due to my prolacting levels flying up way above where they should be the Sertraline was stopped. We've since found out that I have the same problem with a lot of meds that cause this, including antisickness meds. I would say that it's a pretty rare occurance for this to happen though. Other than that Sertraline was working well for me, it's just so much was going on in my life that felt out of my control that I needed the dose increase.

I personally find meds that makes me sleepy work better for me, Sertraline was a real energy booster though and I felt quite energetic and motivated while on it.
