hey all. hi UA. aussie ritchie p in 4th in the general classification, re the tour. good stuff. first taste of some climbing. nice. time for some sleep. done 2 lots of dishes, and my benches and banged...some pots & pans!!!.........(done a wok and a pot) night. see ya soon.

US, have fun at the wedding! Don't stress too much on your looks. Its supposed to be a celebration so celebrate!

Rob, has the medication not helped to stimulate your appetite? I really hope something helps. What exotic foods are on the menu for today?

Karen, my grandfather used to have a strawberry patch. We would go and pick buckets of them. My grandmother made a really good strawberry jam and strawberry pie. Makes my mouth water just remembering.

Chotti, the kids arent showing any signs of arthritis so far. The Nail patella syndrome is what caused all of my arthritis. I've had it since childhood and am now dealing with severe arthritis in some joints. I hope my experiences dealing with this will help save them from some of the struggles I've had.

Lots of back pain today. I need to go get groceries so that's going to be fun. My daughter and I are having mommy daughter day. She's been kind of sad since her cousins moved away. My neice is not taking the move well. She's cried everyday. My daughter is really into Dr.Who so she wants to watch some of that with me. Cant do much outside because of storms.

Hi All

Therapy this am. did well considering I feel like I wasted most of my hour talking about my darn nasty brother. However, I am done with him and so glad he is moving to Calif. I have had a good taste of life without him and my sister and I LIKE IT.

Next week EMDR again. Today, pots and pans to wash, laundry and some reading to catch up on. Think I will do a painting or 2 in my journal.

Hope everyone is well. Eyes hurt too much to read all the posts, I do apologize. Need to get to the eye doctor.

  Hope everyone is having a good day/ night. It is sunny & hot, but thankfully not humid - as we speak. lol That should be again on Monday.


 UA - hope the weather clears up and your pain is reduced. The rain does a job on me, too. I'm sure you will look lovely for the wedding tomorrow. Enjoy being w/ all your friends.


 Karen - I love strawberries. I have a cpl of plants in my yd, but not enough to satisfy our cravings. :) Have a wonderful time. I heard that same thing re the cooler weather next wk. I can't wait!! I don't like hot or cold weather, I like it 'just right' like Goldilocks.


 JB - I enjoyed your discussion on films. I've been a movie nut, since I was a child. My younger son became very interested in film yrs ago. He graduated from film school last yr and has been trying to get as much work as possible to get a full time gig. He also loves the Japanese films and the Italian films.


 Chotti - You have certainly had a FULL and exciting wk. Very interesting. My dear uncle & aunt used to have horses and they would ride them in parades and competitions. Your story brought back happy memories for me.


 Hawk - Welcome to the family. Wishing you the best.


 JMP - Very good ideas. Start small and keep moving. That is always the best way to begin.

 AV - Enjoy your Mommy Daughter Day. I always loved those days, some of my favorite memories - EVER! You are a very strong lady, don't ever forget that!


 Trina - Hope you, DH, & the puppies are well. Having a sick 'puppy' is so upsetting, hope she is on the right path now.


 Rob - Every time I've had an US, they always press so hard into my ribs. I hurt horribly. It feels the same as when I get the miserable costochodritis in the ribs. Could it possibly be costo? It doesn't 'show' as a bruise, just hurts like one. Hope your appt/ date went well. I personally don't feel like I have any social life, I just have dr appts. Wishing you the best.


 Cass - Hope you and your DD are doing well. It is so hard when anything 'touches' our children.


 Almost 2 wks ago, my DH had surgery, so you see what I mean about dr appts. Mostly he is doing well, but he keeps getting sick (vomiting) either when he gets up or just before bed. The drs don't know why, but since it calms down after a few minutes they aren't toooo concerned. That's my job ;)


 It has been rather hectic lately, so if I did get a chance to look at the posts, wasn't able to respond. But I've kept you in my thoughts and prayers.

Alice, UA and AV, I didn't get to go get strawberries today, hopefully tomorrow. I want to go in the morning when it is cooler. My husband make strawberry freezer jam. It is so good. We do have some left from last year, but having some fresh would be awesome...

Jamie, you will be on your way soon. Try to get a little rest...

Trina, I am sorry your eyes are hurting. It does sound like you need glasses. It is easy to strain your eyes from squinting... I have worn glasses most of my life. I have gotten use to them. Scared to wear contacts...

Good afternoon ........

   It's kind of humid in these parts - a little rain this morning - much more tonight coming - and my A/C is NOT working. It must be the thermostat. I'de swear it was working two days ago.

   Went out this afternoon and picked up a table fan + some badly needed dog food. I just set up the table fan and sleeping tonight should be better.

   Karen ......... bet it's not 80-degrees up by you - or to get up to 85-degrees today. The humidity is close to that too!

   Alice ....... good to see you write. With my rib, I could check my old CT scan reports to see if the reported PC had spread to the left or right ribcage. Since last Wednesday, I now have all the CT and bone scan reports and the discs too. Hey - if tv is really bad tonight, I could pull out one of those CT discs and pop it into the DVD player.

   P.S. - my date was with a nurse on duty to change a dressing - and nothing more!!!! Actually, my birthday is her daughters birthdate of month and date. That nurse and i get along fine. I even know her husband is crazy about Alabama Football!!!!

   Trina ......... how dare you! You're not wasting time in therapy talking about someone. Didn't it feel good?

   AV ........ mommy/daughter day! I wish I could remember my daughters calling me Daddy!!!! Appatite for me is close to the same - although I easily had some watermelon this morning and some corn chips. Just finished a blueberry smoothie. It's not exotic - just a little different for me. Have a good mommy/daughter day!

   UA ........ hope you feel better soon ... and go to that wedding .... and have a GOOD time ... and with your BF! Good way to start a vacation!

Notes:

   The new fan is moving a lot of air. Yay!!!!!~!!!!! Monday thru Wednesday here is supposed to be pretty cool. I mean NOT hot!

Hello all,

so it has been so long. So much going on and then my son and a perfect stranger calling me names in one day, well that sent me down hill very fast and my emotions have been raw ever since.

Hello Jamie how are you doing hun?

Happy Bean I would have sat outside after seeing that in hopes to sneak a peek at another. Lucky you.

Rob I do hope that you sleep cooler tonight, if my fan is not on I know that sleep is almost impossible. I hope Giz likes his food. Sleep well dear friend.

Karen I want some freezer jam, sound so good. Lucky girl.

Alice I am very sorry for all the trouble, I hope that he gets to feeling better soon and you don't have to worry so much.

BNot I am very sorry to hear that your brother is a toot. Maybe his moving will help a bond forum someday. Check your eyes gun they are very important tools.


Well to anyone I have missed I am very sorry and hello to you.

No heartburn meds and it is killing me so ASAP I will be off to the doc for the med and some other tests too. Dentist is gonna be next also.

HappyBean, Yes I love foxes. We had a family of them move under an old building one year. The babies would come out in the morning and stretch and yawn. I had taped them on vhs (that was a long time ago) but I don't know what happened to the tape. I wouldn't have a way to play it anyway. But it was so cool. Eventually they moved on. As I recall there was a mom and dad and four kits.

JessicaD... We didn't pick berries yesterday. Maybe today or tomorrow when it is cooler. If there are still berries. The strawberry freezer jam is very good. My hubby makes it. I like it on icecream...

I hope you all have a good day. It is early yet. I don't even hear the birds chirping yet.

Good morning ......

   More storms last night - and muggy this morning - should get to 85 today.

   HT ..... I think Australia has one less resident now - at least for awhile!

   Karen ...... there is a gorgeous medium-small dog that looks something like a red fox. It's a very old breed from Japan called the Sheeba-Inu. Such a pretty face too.

   Jessica D ........ oh oh - back to the dentist. Hope all is mostly well with you and your son.

   HB ........ hey, it's been a long time. You're right - you were lucky to see the fox.

   JB1 ......... are you disappearing into the sunset again?

Notes:

   Fan technology has come a long way. I had bought my last fan about 20-years ago.

   I saw the space-age looking Dyson table fan/conditioner. It really sends out cooled air - sort of a miniaturized A/C and looks like it came from the NY Museum of Modern Art. But it is $300.

   But I did buy a Vornado brand of table top fan - their largest model. The technology is that it moves all of the air in the room - with it's unusual design. And - it does work nicely. I pointed the fan slightly up so it wouldn't blow directly onto me - and I felt air movement all around me. So did Gizmo. He was a lot cooler with this fan. At a $100. it was worth it - 4-speeds and a 5-year warantee.

Good Morning Everyone,

The sun is out but dim this morning. My aches are easing up.
Wedding today... It's a hindu wedding in a temple so I'll be wearing my Indian wear. Got out yesterday to get things done the rain came down on up. We got a bit soaked. Everyone was running for shelter. When I reached in the store, then I realized I had my umbrella in my bag.

I bought a cream for my dark eyes. Yes I have dark under-eyes. I look like a zombie lately. My sister made me buy it. She said it's got worst and I look really bad.

Karen: If you go to pick strawberries today, have fun.

Jamie: Safe travels!

Jessica: Hope your app goes well and you feel better. I live on Tums.

HB: Glad to hear you're doing okay.

Rob: Cool weather sounds nice especially with no ac. I don't like ac though. I tend to feel cold quickly.

Alice: What's DH? Is it your partner? Well, I hope they feel better.

Trina: Sorry about your bro. Hope you will see your eye doc soon.

AV: Hope you get some pain relief. Hope you day with your daughter went well.

Good morning all!!!

I just went for my daily walk with a girlfriend. It was nice... Jasmine loved it too.

We had a thunderstorm last night and got a huge soaking. My poor delphiniums were bent over this morning, one broke. I put it in a vase. It is very pretty. Purple... Called "Sir Arthur"... I think. I have four different kinds. One was called "Black Knight" but it is pink. It is pretty though. I Have a beautiful blue one and a white one. They are all really tall.

UA... I hope you enjoy the wedding. I am sure you look beautiful!!! Even with dark circles. My husband gets them really easy.

Rob, it is muggy here too. I think I am going to put shorts on. I am very uncomfortable at the moment. It is suppose to get cooler this week though here. 50's and 60's. I hope summer isn't over already.

Hi all!

JB- sounds like you had fun. Yesterday my neighbor that I tutor came down to work on math. We didn't understand a dang thing that was going on so we got out the bourbon- on the rocks! OMG! We had a blast!! She literally cracks me up. She even left all of her books and computer here last night. She came by this morning to get them- she looked rough!!! We have to cut loose JB!

UA- I would love to see you in your outfit you are wearing today! I bet you are beautiful! I hope you enjoyed it!

Jessica- feel better sweetie. People can be cruel, but they can also be caring and nice. Focus on them.

Karen- do you sense my jealousy over the weather!wanna do a house trade? Lol!

Kids just left for a week with their dad. I'm going to make the most of it!! Me time!!

Hi Everyone. It has been a lazy Sunday for me so far. It's 1:00 and I have just changed out of my jammies. As I'm typing I am sitting here eating the blueberries that I went out picking yesterday. Karen's talk of strawberries got me motivated to go out. (...Strawberry time ended about 2 weeks ago here but the blueberries are more than ready.) It was a little bit lonely as I went by myself but it was great to get outside and do something. Just next time I will probably go in the morning versus the hot afternoon.

I don't have anything exciting planned for today. Just some food shopping and I really need to do some cleaning. And I need to start my internet search on pro bono attorneys for bankruptcy. This way I can start making some phone calls during my lunch break(s) this week. I have to start making my way out of this financial mess and bring some stability back into my life.

As for everyone else -

Karen: If you went strawberry picking this morning I hope you enjoyed it.

Rob: I hope you can find a way to eat soon. I've been worried about you.

AV: I hope your mommy-daughter time went well.

Alice: Thank you for asking about my daughter. It certainly was a rough past few days for her. I am praying that with her in this stepped up program she will finally be able to make some progress.

JB: It's good that you went out with friends to do pottery and had a nice time. I have been doing the isolating for awhile too and I've found that it really helps the depression to go out and have fun. (I just need to practice this a lot more often.)

To anyone that I missed here is my "hello!"

Jamie: Be safe my dear and tell your S.O we say hello. Have fun and relax hun, nice vacation and time with your S.O is what you deserve.

Cass: I am still in my pjs and its 1130am here in Cali. I will be going to the local park to help my son with his baseball. Have a fun day hun.

CheleL: I hope you enjoy your "Me" time. I would love some ME time, but my son will not allow that. Lol have fun mama you deserve it.

JB: That sounds like an awesome time, I do not drink as a rule as I tend to eat or try to eat everything, including my shoes. Pottery does sound fun though. I understand about the lonelyness of not having an S.O but I just refuse to date anymore. Stay strong it will happen when god sets it up.

Karen: We need rain here but no such luck, 108 this coming Monday and that may not be the hottiest. Oh my gosh too hot.

UA: Have a good time at the wedding! Love seems to be in the air, so happy for everyone in love.

Rob: Muggy yuck but 85 would be lovely here. Gonna be a hot and dry 97 today. Oh how I wish we could have better weather. 100$ for a fan? Rob thats crazy! I would not pay that. I paid 40 for a fan one time and that was a nasty price. Yikes! Keep cool hun and give Giz a kiss.

I didn't make it strawberry picking yesterday, they closed at 3:00 and I missed it. Hubby went out blueberry picking today and came back with a quart of really big berries. Yum. I was eating them. It is suppose to be cooler this week, so I hope to get out.

Karen: I can honestly say that in my 29 yrs on this earth I have never eaten a blueberry unless in a muffin. Have fun with them and share the tasty treats you make with them. Lol

AV: I am sorry for all of the pain that you have been in, although it is different pain I do know the feeling. Stay strong.

Well lets see....... I have really bad heartburn and no pills to calm the fire. Lucky me! My left arm is sore, played baseball and throwing caused this. My son has been a real pain in my side again, oh if the teen years are anywhere near this, then I dont want them! Lol I cooked tonight gave mom a break and did a breakfast for dinner thing. Good eats right there. Well that is all for now. Sleep well and peaceful days ahead.

   For some reason it seemed much more humid here yesterday than what the weatherman said. It was Uncomfy nearly the whole day.

   Jessica D ........ never a blueberry??? You're kidding!!!

   AV ....... hope your A/C is working OK!!!!

   Karen ........ looking forward to about 5-days of in the 70's here - although 78 today. Gives me more time and less pressure to get the A/C fixed.

   Jessica D again ........ there is an old saying that "you get what you pay for" $40. for a fan today is a guarantee of a cheap chinese-built fan that may last 2-years! Then you pay $40. for another cheap fan!!!

   Cass ....... best of luck on your "pro bono attorney" search.

   Michele ....... your back!!! Bourbon???? That doesn't sound very complimentary to mexican food!!!

   JB1 ....... If your pre-war building is built of masonry with a plaster interior (likely over thin plaster or wood lath) .... it is a champion of heat loss in the Winter and heat gain in the Summer. And there is no quick or cheap fix!!! Seventy years ago, ecology meant nothing!!!! Although, some of the architecture looks cool.

   UA ........ hope you enjoyed the wedding yesterday.

Notes:

   I'm waiting for a call from my oldest daughter right now - to see if she and my oldest grandaughter are coming over this morning. We need to do some business at my bank - converting a "Uniform Gift for Minor" account into one that can be used for my grandaughters tuition payment.

   I sent both of my daughters and my closest cousin -  a detailed e-mail outlining what direction I'm planning on going for the next year or so with the cancer meds. My youngest daughter called last night, as usual, and among other things, she had an opinion about what i had sent.

   I also got a call from my oldest daughter, but that was just for trying to coordinate a time for her to come over today to pick-up some money again. She never even mentioned that she had gotten my e-mail. And I haven't gotten any response yet from my cousin either.

   Summary ....... the absense of support from close family members really sucks!@!!! Un****** believable!!!!!

Rob, I am sorry... It sounds like your oldest is ignoring it completely. I guess that is how she copes. But it sucks for you. It really is hard when people don't show that they care. I just ended a friendship because of that. Though it was a draining friendship for me. I am relieved. I know you can't end your relationship with your daughter because you love her so much. I just hope she comes around in time to be there for you...

Jessica, Yes, you have never eaten a handful of fresh ripe blueberries. You are missing out. They taste so wild and free. If that is even a flavor. I love them, and they are full of good stuff for you...

I got to quit posting when I first get up. I don't have a mind yet to say anything. But I like to come to the computer while the coffee is brewing at 4:00 in the morning.... lol...
