Thanks Michelle! We are a little antsy here, as you can imagine.

I don't do meatless, just meatless Mondays. I do carb/soy/sugar/raw dairy-less. LOL.

New room! Always fun getting things prepared for the beginning of the year. I have a bust of Elvis that I am hoping to unpack soon, along with my assortment of stickers.

Do you know that college students like stickers too? One prized moment was when several students started bartering each other for some cool halloween stickers I had bought.

Go do your thing. I am getting out of the house for a little. I can feel my tension rising.

Michele and Chartreux, its been a little cooler here. We hav err haf a lot of rain, though. Its so humid!

Rob, Mojo is very mischevious. He likes to steal my glasses and he has this game he likes. When I'm in the kitchen or bathroom he will jump on the counter. He will make eye contact and then nudge something off the counter. He always follows that up with an innocent face. If you've seen Shriek, its the face that Puss in Boots uses. Lol

I've been productive today. Finally got my health insurance fixed and called my dr about getting the referral called in under the correct insurance. I also bought car insurance. Got the litter boxes cleaned, laundry done, and chased Bernie through the wooded area behind our home. He is a sneaky guy. It doesn't help that one of the medications is making my vision very blurry. Pain level is high. I may have pushed too hard on my exercise routine yesterday and the storms don't help. Hope everyone is having a good day!

I go for my yearly Mammogram today, other than that, its going to be a great day.

I hope everyone has had a good and relaxing Friday! I've been out of the loop for a week and need to get back into the swing of things with everyone.

AV: It sounds like you had a really productive day. I'm glad that you got your health insurance fixed and got some car insurance. Bernie sounds sneaky & fun all rolled up in one. I'm sorry about the blurred vision and high pain level, I can totally relate with you on that right about now and I'm hoping you're feeling a little better.

Chartreux: I hope all went well with your mammogram today and you felt as little of discomfort as possible and not feeling any tenderness tonight.

Hi Karen, Jan & Everyone else from today.

I'm hanging in there, not feeling too good, pain level is pretty high and I keep having blurred vision off and on. Percocet seems to be out of stock everywhere CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Kroger, Walmart, Target & Publix I tried everyone, no one will be able to get any until Wednesday at the earliest so I have a substitute they called in today to use until then hydrocodone and something for the nausea. The nurse came out today trying to convince me to go back to the hospital for a few days but that's not an option for me right now I'm going to try to work things out at home. Emotionally I was not in a good place in the hospital my PTSD seemed to go into overdrive. So even though I'm not feeling well physically I'm feeling safe at home.

Chart-I hear you about the tylenol and testing. I always forget.

Have to go buy a nice suit. I have a cheap one, but it does look cheap.

Going to a play tomorrow night for our anniversary.

Hi Everyone. I'm sorry that I haven't posted in the last week or so. I was busy with working on finding a Pro Bono lawyer and other financial issues. And I am happy to report that I have made it through the first two steps of this process with a non-profit agency. I spent a few hours filling out the required application on-line last week, made it to and through the follow up phone interview and was passed on to a free telephone consultation with an attorney. Now she has recommended a course of action for me and is letting the agency know. Now the next step is actually having them take my case on. I have to make that phone call this coming week. So if you all don't mind me asking please say a few prayers for me.

Even though I didn't post I have been "lurking" and still keeping up with your posts. AV, I am so glad that you got your insurance and referrals finally straightened out. I know you are looking forward to some pain relief. Myself, I have been sending prayers your way from your interview and now this potential new job. Heartfelt One, it's nice to know that your surgery went well and I am sending you best wishes on your recovery. Chartreaux, I hope the Tylenol finally worked for you. I know I also need to schedule a mammogram soon. And Michelle, I didn't realize your daughter was 18. Mine just turned 19. I agree with the way you handled the situation with her friend. You are right, they are old enough to start handling some consequences on their own.

hi karen. hi everyone. having an awesome time. been to car boot sales and stuff, going to another one tomorrow. i have proposed to my partner, she was shocked and delighted. i did it in a lovely park by the duck pond. the weather has been good. rain today. my partner has her car back, as of the other day. we are going to another car boot tomorrow. i mentioned that already. take care my dear friends. i hope everyone is doing well. will see ya soon.

Hi everyone.

Well my support group as nixed the idea of a womens only survival support group for trauma. SIGH

So I am starting one on my own. I have 3 names I would like to run by everyone. Especially if you have a history of trauma, pick one that would make you feel safe or welcome to come.

Courageous Light

Any and all comments are welcome as I am putting this group together on my own. I do have support from the NJ support group clearing house, but somehow it is not the same.

I hope everyone has been having a good Saturday so far!

Chartreux: I hope your pain has gone down for you some and your collarbone is feeling better.

Myself: I hope you were able to find a nice suit. Congratulations on your anniversary I hope you are having a wonderful time tonight.

CheleL: I'm not sure what the actual re-cooperation time because I winded up having to have an additional surgery plus I signed myself out AMA (against medical advice) there's a list of things that you're not supposed to do for 2 weeks and then more stuff you're not supposed to do for 6 weeks. So I figure it's somewhere between those weeks and I have to follow up with 3 different doctors at 2 & 6 week intervals. I hope your eye infection doesn't get any worse before you get to the doctor on Monday. I hope it goes well. You sound like a good Mom to me, I don't think you were wrong, all Moms have different parenting styles.

CassandraLee: You will be in my thoughts I hope that all goes well for you and they take your case on. I'm glad you made it through all that paperwork it sounds like it was a lot, but getting those first 2 steps down is a good thing.

Karen: Those blueberries sound so good and you're making so much out of them, wine, pie and jam. I've never had any of those, I've only had blueberry pancakes, waffles and muffins and I'm sure I've had blueberry in a smoothie before. I'm glad that you had a good day! I didn't notice Rob on today either, I didn't think I saw his post yesterday but I know I'm playing catch up a little but I was thinking of him.

HappyTurtle: Congratulations on the proposal! That's wonderful news!

Trina: I'm sorry the idea for a women's only survival support group for trauma got nixed but I think it's wonderful that you're starting your own, that's such a positive and proactive idea! The program I belong to tried to start a women's only group and it lasted for a few weeks meeting weekly but then they cancelled it and said they're not sure if and when it will start back up so that was disappointing. I like the name finding courage because to me it's kind of hard to find courage in many areas after going through trauma.


I'm hanging in there, today wasn't such a good day for me and this pain, nausea and this blurred vision and I'm still dealing with the constipation hoping that will change at any minute. I took the zofran for nausea but it's still hard to want to eat. This weekend is tax free weekend here for back to school shopping I was really hoping to get out and take advantage of it. I hope I don't miss it.

Trina, I like Brave Futures. It's putting the emphasis on change for future lives.

HFO-You must be in Virginia! I was there until May of last year, south of Richmond. I used to take advantage of the tax-free weekend. Even though you are feeling bad, at least you are home. One day at a time.

I didn't end up with a suit, which suits me fine. I have a nice business-like yet still-quirky dress, with a dressy cardigan over. It looks very professional but still shows some personality.

We are getting ready to leave for the day for West Virginia, and ought to be home by 9:30 ish, or before. This is a contemporary new works festival, that has produced some fine work over the decades. It looks like rain, but that doesn't worry me.

I have a meeting with my therapist tomorrow, which is good. I need more breathing and positive thoughts, to manage the anxiety.

Thank you all for you input on the group name. It is so valuable and appreciated.

I do wish I had to daily energy and time to be on this thread more to keep up with everyone.

For now it is too much of a mind chore, know that I think this a great thread and all who share it benefit greatly.
