Cass, please don't feel like your problems aren't valid. They are and I wish I knew some way to help. Maybe you would qualify for some aid. You can do this, though. Its just another chapter of life and it won't last forever.

Bernie is home!! He has to be closely monitored because there is still some blood in his urine. He's on a few different medications and his new diet. He didn't want to eat when he got home but he immediately peed in the litter box. He's sleeping on my bed, with a nest of blankets. Ellie is bathing him. She missed almost as much as I did.

I went by the school and had lunch with the kids. They were surprised and excited. Their school is brand new and I was kidding pressed with the facility. Caitlyn's teacher already adores her and Cade has made several new friends.

I didn't sleep much last night. I've got so much going on and things aren't working out well. I'm driving myself crazy trying to find a solution. I just don't know what else to do. My big concerns are the kids and the cats. I really need this worked out so there's stability and I won't have to rehome my kitties. I know sounds dumb and like my priorities are screwed up but I just can't stand to lose my cats. I would never let them starve so its a decision that may have to be made. That really upsets me. I love my kids and my cats. At times they have been my only family.

100 100's. awesome!!! hi everyone. found some dvd movies, some classics in charity shops today. the one i enjoyed finding was bruce lee 'enter the dragon' cool cover and inlay. partner found an old book (hardback) on marilyn monroe. 70's edition. cover a bit tatty but excellent condition otherwise. we bought a nice glass bamboo glass topped table as well. i got an engagement ring of my own. looks nice. sterling silver, hallmarked. it is a spinning ring with a weave rope design. found in a junk shop. weird he sells fine jewellery as well. we are tired. see ya all soon. we say g'day and wish everyone the best. sad as i will be back to oz soon. love, us.

Hi Guys - I just wanted to share that my GI had suggested an antidepressant to help with my IBS-D, which was out of control for a while... well, three weeks on generic lexapro and my IBS is pretty much GONE!!!! I'm so happy about that. I had curry this weekend - no reaction at all!! And it's stopped my sleep walking too. So HAPPY DANCE FOR LEXAPRO!!

AubreyBear, that's great! IBS really limits your diet and activities. That's awesome that you're doing so well!

Its been a long day. I surprised the kids at school and had lunch with them. They were very excited for me to meet their new friends. My daughter complained of chest pains while playing on the playground. She was birn with pulmonary stenosis and what she described could indicate that her condition is worsening. I'm taking her to the dr wednesday and will probably be sent on to her cardiologist pretty quickly. I have a job interview friday. Its not a physically demanding job so I'm hoping I can handle it. Sitting in desk chairs can be incredibly painful. I've got surgery in the morning. I'm nervous but it has to be done because even liquids are getting stuck in my throat. There will be biopsy to see of the medications have worked on the abnormal cells.

Bernie has had his medicines and a bath. He wasn't happy and punished me by having a very long, healthy, blood free pee in a basket of my clothes. He gets a pass for now! He's pretty lethargic and very content with being held. We have to monitor his eating and his output because he's not completely out of the woods yet. I think tomorrow I'm going to take him to kitty daycare at the vets before my surgery. I'd feel better knowing that he's being watched.

Back pain is up a lot. I'm going to take my pain medicines and try to sleep. I'll check in sometime after surgery tomorrow.

Why don't you get in on the book club Jessica? Just a thought...

Rainy here today. I have been in a funk for a few days. Don't know what is going on other than the weather. I am tired of the humidity. It makes me sluggish. But I think it is the change of seasons that is getting to me. Don't get me wrong, I love autumn. Just not what comes after.

I hope you all have a good day. One day at a time, stay in the moment... That is what I am trying to do.

Maybe the moment requires a nap... Ha!!!

At least ice cream, yes! lets do. Homemade! Strawberry or blueberry, they are just ending in season now on the Jersey coast!

We can all take a turn churning while we sit on the porch chating!

ps rob. no alerts on emirates. i checked all relevant particulars. there are red and yellow flight zones. certain countries are no fly zones and some that i pass have strict altitude requirements to stop missile attacks.

   This is spooky!

   I had just typed in "Billy Gates is getting richer and richer" ... and my computer turned itself off!

   That is, freakin microsoft again - cut me off of what I was doing (writing a post here) and added one of their updates ... imobilizing my computer for about 10-minutes. Of course, when returning back to HW .... my half written post was lost again. 

   XP never ever did this! Why is Vista so ****** user-unfriendly????

   In an hour, I need to get ready to go to my Oncologists office for some blood tests and other routine things.

Good morning .....

   Yesterday was nearly all-day sleeping. Today .... it's to be in the mid-80's and rain on-and-off all day - and dark all day.

   Hey .... the "Daily" was a ghost town yesterday.

   Karen ...... Gizmo is fine. He really left me alone for much of the day yesterday and all thru the night - letting me sleep. Then when it started to rain overnight, he stayed next to me like he was glued to me! The lightning really bothers him ..... besides his barometric senses (when a storm is approaching)!

   AV ....... let us hear from you!

Notes:

   I've been watching the Little League World Championships ..... some really fine games and some great young athletes. The lady pitcher "Mo'ne" has gotten a lot of press lately - an she is very good. Nevada seems to have the best team - with Pennsylvania and Illinois having the next best teams. Those two play tonight to see who plays Nevada on Saturday for the U.S. Championship.

   For some reason, Little League and Girls Fast Pitch Softball both have so much more vitality than big league baseball (my opinion)! Both play for the love of the game - not multi-million dollar guaranteed contracts!!!!
