Hey kids! -waves-

Sorry I have been MIA recently. New job has a lot of info attached to it. My brain is full(ish.)

I have been eating way too much sugar, in an effort to remain focused.

I need to contact therapist. NO appointments for at least the next 6 weeks. I cannot miss a class, and my med center doesn't take any appointments past 5pm. So, I'd better not get sick.

Pitmom,I hope that your week goes smoothly. I know your worry is increasing as the days go by.Take a pause and take a breath.

Trying so hard to keep my head above water. Sunday was the 22 yr anniversary of my divorce (bittersweet). Today is the 22 yr anniversary of my mother's death.

My neighbor will be working on my truck today as my son has no way to get here to do it.

At least my daughter has the day off from work and I can use her car to go and vote and maybe do a little shopping.

When I start thinking about things that overwhelm me, I tell myself to STOP. Then, I purposely look for something else to do, not just 'think about doing'!

And believe me...there is plenty that needs to be done!

yeah plenty to be done, your right. I have turned my ph off. stuff it. playing some Black Sabbath. been for a walk. went back on the Panadol osteo as the arthritis is flaring, I mean the Panadol is not much chop, but better than nothing. I think I will lay down for a bit. many healing thoughts my friends.

Sorry its been a few days, things are crazy around my place.

Happy- I hope that you feel better soon. My bones are hurting as well. Rest up and be safe hun.

Pit- I understand the divorce being bittersweet. I have gotten 2 and they are both very hard to cope with at times. I am sorry for your mom's passing, she is watching over you though. Glad that your truck will be getting fixed and that your daughter can let you use her car.

Myself- I hope that you dont get sick either, yucky! I am glad that the new job seems to be going good though. Sugar has been my down fall lately as well. Ugh so much sugar, gonna gain my weight back.

Hello Karen!!!!!! Hello everyone else that I didnt get to this time.

My life has been so crazy lately, my niece and nephew have been over a lot. My sister even spent the night! Family troubles and 15 years going down the potty, so very sad for my sissy. My youngest niece and my nephew are no longer safe from their sister, and my sister has been unhappy for years. All the stuff she was holding in, I feel so bad for her. I went through my yearly anxiety attack and I didnt use meds for it this year. So excited for that. Well I am off to other forms. Be safe all.

I think we are going to have a repeat of yesterday which was sunny and warm. Tomorrow though I am afraid rain...

Still trying to kick butt with this virus. Better than I was.

I slept pretty good last night, but not the night before. So I do feel a bit better today. I might just take some chicken noodle soup out of the freezer today. Thanks for the idea...

Well, the truck is not getting fixed. At least not just now. It's a bigger job than we thought and the neighbor doesn't want to try to do it in his driveway. So, at least I know and will deal with it later.

My daughter's surgery is tomorrow.

Can't afford to have a meltdown over the truck! I had a cry and that will have to do for now. Not looking forward to driving the highway in the dark, in a car. Several years ago I was driving the same stretch of highway in my Chevy Blazer when a herd of deer decided it was a good time to run across the road! I hit one of them doing about 60 mph! Was able to get home before the truck gave out. It took the impact and I was shaken up but not hurt. Had I been in a car, it would have been a different story. I phoned the police who determined which town needed to be contacted. They found the deer, dead on the shoulder of the highway. At least it didn't suffer.

So, as you can see, my upset isn't so much about the repair needed, it's anxiety about driving that part of the highway in a car. She will be in the hospital for a minimum of 2 days, so that's at least 3 trips in the dark! Ugh.

As if stressing over her surgery wasn't enough!

I hope your daughters surgery goes well! I'll have your family in my thoughts. Just remind yourself how strong you are and you can make it. Car problems seem to crop up at the worst times.

I'm enjoying internet. I missed it!! I'm now 2 and a half weeks post op. My incision is healing really well and I can bare weight extremely well. At my last appointment the Dr was very pleased with how much I can bend my knee. The problem is that my quad muscle isn't firing. It isn't working at all which results in me not being able to lift my own leg. Nothing is helping and the Dr says something may have come loose. Not what I wanted to hear! Right now its possible I will have to have more surgery.

Through this I have had a lot of pain. Immediately after surgery I was put on the lowest dose of norco, which I had already been taking for the arthritis spread all throughout my body. When I told the Dr that it wasn't enough he said that I had a low pain threshold. After a week he put me on tramadol. I'm very active, I'm home with my kids and cats and I can't just sit around. Especially at night the pain is intense, in both knees. My other knee isn't good shape either so all the stress on it isn't great. I'm feeling very frustrated and exhausted.

On top of that, I'm having issues with my kids dad. His relationship with the kids has been very tumultuous. He was supposed to keep the kids the first week of my surgery but the day of he called and said that I needed to call him as soon as I got home because he couldn't handle my son anymore. My son is having some issues. He's not paying attention in class, losing things constantly, causing distractions in school, and having anger issues. He's not violent but he refuses to forgive anyone. I'm so drained. I'm doing anything I can think of to help him.

Today is the day! My daughter has to be at the hospital at 9:30am. She will have another CT scan at 11am and the surgery itself is scheduled for 1pm. I'm kinda surprised at the late time, since she is diabetic but I think once the IV is in, they will be able to control her blood sugar well enough.

We found the stuffed bear that was my moms and had been given to my daughter. A trip to the Laundromat was in order! She wants to have it with her and I am NOT arguing! I don't think anyone there will think it is strange that a 33 year old woman wants her bear! She's never had surgery before, so having brain surgery is a HUGE deal! Whatever it takes to help keep her as calm as possible!

I'll update when I can. It's going to be a long day, so maybe tomorrow. Thank you all for your support!

Hope your daughters operation goes well.

I'm not doing well at all today, feeling so sick and my mood is in the pits, I really don't want to go on its all feeling too much for me. I came into work but I'm not feeling well at all. Im starting to feel hot and sweating, unusual for me Im always cold usually. Also feeling very tired but thats nothing new. I suppose I had an ok day yesterday so cant complain too much but I'm just so tired of this struggle day after day :(

Hope everyone has a good day. Something has to be wrong with me. I just keep feeling better. Guess the poor job done by the VA is actually helping me. If they would have been doing their job I would still be on the medicine. Withdrawal wasn't any fun even after the 3rd time.
Now I can see the medication was doing more harm than good. Really glad to be off it.

Daughter's surgery went well. It will be a couple of weeks before we know if her pituitary will wake up and start working normally again. Meanwhile, we will have to watch for low cortisol levels for a change! She did get a csf leak which they 'took care of' and will add another day in the hospital to be safe.

Good news on the surgery.

I woke up today with a sore throat and cold, feeling rough, just what I need, another illness! Ah well looks like Im going to be even more miserable for a few days.

Hi everyon!

Pitmom- hugs to you and your daughter!! I pray for a speedy recovery!

For everyone not feeling well, to borrow from HT, healing thoughts your way.

Our town was hit by two tornadoes last week. Cleanup is happening but never fast enough. More rain and storms expected today and tomorrow.

I fell Wednesday morning as I was about to head out to work. I took off yesterday and today to rest and heal. I actually needed to recharge my body so it's a blessing in disguise.

New job continues well. Despite my reservations about working for a huge corporation, the workplace atmosphere is good. The training is quite complex but engaging.

My sore throat is finally easing, now just have to deal with my nausea that's been quite bad today, having to stop my nausea meds before a test on Wed which isn't helping. Ah well, my dad came to visit this weekend which was nice.
