hi ya joan. good to see ya posting.
and u as well trina. and you all. I got a mattress approved, the cheaper one by the charity. still 1400 bucks. it is a local made job, I just e-mailed the charity with some nice words, I was shocked that they approved the full amount. usually I have been the giver, however I am fortunate to have received some things the last few yrs. I will await the arrival of the cheque. just cleaning up and stuff. internet always dropping.

Hi all!
Karen - it is still dark here too. I have not been sleeping well for months. I guess I should just get use to being up hours before everyone else. I liked hearing how you said you enjoyed it. For some reason I get anxious when it happens.
Jamie- glad to hear it worked out! PA grandma, great postings as usual.
Hope that everyone has a good day!
Hope

Hi everybody. Cue the song : "I'll get by with a little help from my friends" , by the fab four. Feeling good today. The day is gorgeous outside , and my pains are mild today.
I am having a cystoscopy today at 2 pm as a check-up on my enlarged prostate , so getting that completed is my main task today.
I am a little apprehensive because it hurt so much the first time , but the doctor promissed me he would use extra anesthetic this time.
Hope4 , I hope you start getting some good sleeps in. Those wee hours go by so slow.
Wishing everone a happy , positive day,
Derwood.

Good morning all!!! Cloudy here today, suppose to get thunderstorms. We do need the rain though as always.
Hope4, thank you for your post. I do love mornings though I find myself going back to bed now and then as I seem to sleep real good then.
Jamie, I hope you are catching some Z's.
Derwood, good luck with the procedure today. We will be thinking about
you.
Hugs to all!!!

Thanks, Derwood! It seems that those who don't have sleep problems really don't understand how long the hours are.
Good luck with your procedure. Hope it goes smoothly!

Hot and sunny, not a cloud in the sky, and the mountains reflecting clearly.
Karen, I hope all is well with you, your doggie, your hubbie, and all.
Hope-I used to have panic attacks as a kid when I couldn't get to sleep. I had insomia for much of my life--then after fibro, sleep has been like a train. Do something boring when you wake up--recent research points to the electronic screen activating the brain, rather than soothing it. Breathing exercises help as well.
Good luck Derwood. I have had similar lady exams on the cervix--and it really hurt!
F27--oat grass dies really easily. My girls used to love it. I wish I had a cat to grow it for.*heavy sigh* Hope all is well with you up in the north.
Jamie-a new mattress rocks! We have a waveless water bed--and love it. OMG-Wednesday's stage made me so sad. Nairo just ran out of steam. Teejay did as well. Sky team is so strong that someone will have to make a big mistake or crash.
At library--some job apps--then I plan to pick up a sandwich and head out to the garden. I have a melon almost ripe--and tomatoes starting to go red--Our hot sunny rain-less weather is great, except they need more water.
This weekend is the 15 year anniversary.
Be well all--I go to submit resumes.

Doing well, M09, thanks for asking.
Kitty27 LOVES his oat grass. We keep his pots up high, otherwise he'll drool all over them and kill the grass in no time. Every morning when I get up to shove coffee down my throat (it would be so much more efficient if I could just eat the little Nespresso pods, but needs must), Kitty27 stands on the kitchen table and stares at the top of the cabinet where his grass resides. For the last couple of days I've had to fool him with some kibbles cuz of the Conspiracy Of Dead Wheat Grass. Kitty27 gets confused, but he's just happy to get something to eat.
Fired my doctor. Spent Tuesday zooming around town looking for new clinics and thankfully found what I was looking for. Gonna go for a huge 6 hour get-to-know-ya appointment next month. Should be fun. I wonder if they'll serve lunch?
Hope everyone is having a better than okay day!
Good luck with the job hunting, M09. Maybe you could hire a Russian hacker to spam all of the world's email addresses with your resume. Think of how much gas you could save.
Later all. :)

Is it getting enough sun? I had to hide it from my Floydie as well--she would pull it up by the roots. Lucky, jumping was not her thing, so I could put it safely out of reach. I had a small flat sack--kind of like a half-sized pillow case, that I used to fill with dried catnip. The girls loved it--except Catter could get a bit aggressive, as much as a 5 pound cat could.
Sometimes you do have to fire a doc. Glad you went through the leg-work of finding another.
Brought home chard and more zucchini, plus some lemon balm and basil. Got desperate enough that I sent my resume to community college looking for adjuncts. *sigh*
Night,all.

OK, just tell me this ...

Heheh. Some of the people I commute with drive like they need the convenience of Braille embossed keys.
Why is everyone a bad driver but me? ;-)
Actually, you nailed it M09. Our little pots o' oat grass aren't getting nearly enough sun. Not due to positioning though, it's just been pissing rain here for a LOOONG time. Sun came out yesterday, so I'm still holding out hope for 3 of them, although one pot is definitely a bust.
May I have your zucchini? I'm having a craving.

I git biscuits and strong coffee going. I have a travel type on, and I do 4 tea spoons, darn sluggish turtle. listening to some iron maiden, my speakers crackle as the wires are damaged. been for a walk, had coffee first and trugged up the muddy path to the chemist. I had an old lamictal lying around, I went up and I got mel, she does the blister packs and probably had a late night i'd say, as I said there is something wrong with my tablet, can't see the screen. she looked at it, then me and laughed. oh Jamie... I said is my hair stickin' out everywhere, yep, I walked ou with a smile. internet down, then up.

Hello all
I am back in business! Got my computer back. Yay
Depression is creeping in and I am not sure why. I am tired and sinuses are just hurting so bad. I am sure that is why, but my son will also be going back to school soon and I must admit that I fear losing him due to the pressure they place on children these days.
I did try to use contact lenses and was just getting the hang of them when I tore my right contact. Ugh I could have just cried. Then my new computer cam and it did not have the cable to hook my monitor up to my tower, so I had to buy my own. The company is not happy with my language but I was already upset and then they told me they would not fix it! Well they will be fixing it now.
I am thinking of you all and will be back tomorrow. Love and hugs to all

Good morning SFgamebabe, Jamie, Myself, F27, Joyce and Hope. And to everybody that I may have missed.
Looks like rain here again though it is clearing in the distance.
Doc appointment today. Always fun... Wonder what kind of tests I will have to do next.
I hope you all have a good day today!!!
Hugs, Karen...

Good luck at the dr's office today, Karen!
Hope all are doing OK here. Going to go get some dirt and pots for my seeds😊 I am excited. It has been to long without tending some growing things.
Kind of low energy today, though. Trying to decide how much to push myself to try to get out and meet people since we moved, and whether to let myself just rest a while and get used to things. There are a couple of group events that are of interest, but not near where we are living (so a long drive).
Have a good day everyone!

The beginning of the heat wave here. And, of course, my car has no AC. I just got back from taking Mom to cardiologist. She passed out a month ago--but luckily there is no need for a pacemaker. Rah.
Will fill out a few applications, and then head out to garden. Sorry, the zucchini is under-producing... one plant looked like it had been trampled. Peppers still not growing properly. *sigh*
Do well on your test, Karen.
Planting is fun! A man and his son and their dog were shouting with joy yesterday due to a watermelon growing in their plot. Give your grass some sun and water. Seeds are fun to watch grow, as well.
BF and I have to do our homework this afternoon.*sigh* 15th anniversary on Sunday.

Just got blood work to do. Fasting, ugh... I am bad about
getting to that quickly. I hate to fast, but I can go in as early as 7:00 if need be.
I am sorry about
your plants Myself. I wonder if an animal trampled your zucchini. Peppers seem to be a bit tempermental at times.
Thanks Hope, I think if you kind of just do what you want, you will find a balance in work and rest. Don't push yourself too hard, but do get out or whatever and do things... There is a happy medium there, we just have to find it.
It is very hot here today. In the 90's. Not comfortable outside at all. I got shopping done, prescript
ions picked up and now I am going to kick back and go slow the rest of the day.
Take care all...
Hugs, Karen...

PA grandma ... you are "something else". Turtle ... hope the mattress is heavenly.
I also lose posts due to electrical problems here. VERY humid today and hot too. Don't like it much.
Did wash and will probably wait until tomorrow to shop. Have a few dishes to do and make up the bed and also put away wash.
Keep on trucking ... too hot to bother with much here. August is usually better.

Stuff you didn't know you didn't know!
DON'T THROW THE BABY OUT WITH THE BATHWATER.....
( Don’t get rid of valuable things along with the unnecessary ones.)
You won’t believe this one!
In the early 1500s, people only bathed once a year. Not only that, but they also bathed in the same water without changing it!
The adult males would bath first, then the females, leaving the children and babies to go last. By the time the babies got in, the water was clouded with filth. The poor mothers had to take extra care that their babies were not thrown out with the bathwater.

I just finished filling out all my forms for my new clinic. Twenty pages of questions with a whole page about
poo. As I have no children, it's not a topic that gets explored in our house often. Who'd a thunk it could merit a whole page?
Looking forward to the weekend. One social obligation, and a plan to sleep in not once, but twice. Imana try to sleep like I'm 17 again.
That sounds like a good idea, M09. Mrs. 27 and I haven't had a chance to 'homework' in a while. ;-) Congrats on the anniversary. What is the traditional 15th anniversary gift? Paper? Ray Bans? Hot dogs?
Have a fun weekend all.
