Pitmom.. very strange the teeth and jaw thing you described . sounds like something that would happen to me. There are a lot of nerves in the jaw area could be pressure and balance in the joint. Very happy to hear you are adjusting better.
It sounds like you have a beautiful garden.
Love the new wall paper self stick a lot easier to apply and take off. Color and style is so easy and nice to perk up any room and a change is always a good for the decorator too.
Hi HT always enjoy hearing from you... sending lots of good vibes your way. Isn’t summer coming soon there?
We had the worst summer. Still on high alert
forest fires surrounding in the middle. 35 miles from the north and 35 miles from the south. Is cooler and marine layer has helped the winds have calmed. Pray for rain...
Buena76 the roads out from the evacuations are blocked by traffic trying to get out. Most were 5th wheel trailers. Fair grounds and parking lots taking most trailers. Lots of ash falling and debris from the wind, which is dead still today. The air is so dense nothing moving...Not a sound....
Paul BC is north of Portland. Masks REQUIRED thru out the state , 500,000 people evacuated in OR.reqoutside THE smoke burns my eyes . The sunsets here I haven’t seen in days due the heavy smoke. It’s the orange hue during the day and thick smoky grey/brown the sky looks like it’s 9pm during the day.
Karen hope you are still doing your beautiful art work . I still have a couple of your pics. You are very talented . Did you do a garden this year? Flowers and veggies? I did flowers this year no veggies .
Trina have a good day. Since COVID many parents are recognizing how important teachers are for our children.
Prayers for the firefighters in CA..OR...WA.

Hi Chotti,
Lately I have been getting little 4x6 frames. I put birch bark and dried flowers in them. They turned out cool and nice for fall. I am running out of dried flowers though as everything is coming to an end.
The days are getting so short here. Dark until about
7:00 am. And getting dark earlier in the evening. When the time changes it will be dark by about
five in the evening. Old man winter is on his way.
I didn't have a vegie garden this year and I missed it. I had one basket of flowers and my perennials. But that is okay, I hope to have tomato plants next year. And cukes.
I hope you have an awesome day today.
Hello to Pitmom, your post is on the other page so I can't remember everything. But as always thanks for the update, I love your posts.
Hugs Karen...

Today, I watched some college football on TV. Then I made some comments to online forums such as HealingWell.com, which is something I hadn't done in a while. After that, I read some online articles about
the Patriots game tomorrow against the Miami Dolphins.
Tonight, I'm just going to chill out.
I had a good day today.

That's always a plus!
Smoke from OR and CA has blanketed my area overnight. It's as dark as during the dreary fall rain season. Very strange switch from relatively blue skies and sun a few days ago.

HT very nice 👍. That will be interesting how far you can go with a goo set up.
I was watching a documentary on netflix ‘the social dilemma’ everything you already know how addicting IPhone, gaming the whole 9 yards. It’s always In the cloud in the sky..Opps spy...
Speaking of clouds can’t see a thing . The orange sky blocks everthing up to 35-40’.
Very strange thick air can’t breathe outside for very long and not a sound . Hoping for rain tomorrow.
Prayers for the fire crews and all those who have lost their homes and the lives lost . Displaced families and pets. The 2020 year has had a lifetime of pain, disappointment and loss.
As long as there is breath there is Hope...Life is a gift!

Chotti and Paul-T, I praying that the fires stop in your areas. It's so scary to see the images that the news--I can't even imagine seeing it first hand. Praying for all.
Hi GB, Bnot, HT, and everyone else.
I'm so incredibly frustrated and angry. I've been receiving medical bills, despite already paying them. To make matters worse, no one at the billing departing is picking up the phone. I manage to get in contact with a rep from another department and explained the situation. He said he would email the billing department to try and get things resolved. I told him the billing department have to do better and respond to people's calls, instead of doing nothing. It's so annoying that these people aren't doing their jobs.

Hi everyone!
HT HAPPY news on the computer!
Good karma
Chotti we are with you and praying..
I agree we have entered a new phase of living. Waiting to see the good that comes out of all the tragedy
Forever how aggravating that you have to deal the the bills etc... some things. In live never change. Always some one with lack of work ethics
However now, it could be so many other reasons....
Peace

Very good with the computer, HT... I have been trying to "do more with less" on my ancient setup, but it's approaching a decade and the "less" may soon be too little to do much at all. (It was a top-of-the-line system when I got it, so that's why it's lasted so long...)
Forever, I've dealt with a similar situation. If you can get someone outside their department to lean on them, that might work better. They seem intent on creating a threatening situation full of unknowns so that people pay up, even if they already paid up.
No relief with the smoke in my area -- now forecast to last through the week, despite promise of a rain system that never materialized... hope everyone stays safe!

I hope you are all staying safe. 2020 has been quite a year. So much going on.
It is suppose to be sunny today. They say you can see the smoke from across the country. I worry about
everybody here.
Have a good day all, it is early. Not enough coffee yet to have a functional brain.
Hugs, Karen...

I try to focus on hope, the good that can come out of catastrophy.
Watched news this am for 10 mins.
Thankful, that for once the politics were last on the list!
Did not watch that, only the highlights of
Tragedy in our country.
I think and pray for all of you on this forum and this site.
Grateful for relative safety in my area, tho my county virus numbers increasing with restaurants
opening...
My friends, like all else, this will pass, we will get through as Europe is near the end
We will get back in step with other nations.
Use all your skills, hang on, enjoy every moment you can.
Stay strong for yourself and each other. We can get through this.
Peace

Hello Karen dried birch bark is so pretty and dried flowers make a nice picture for hanging . Even different leaves and textures look nice. A mural is also mixing it all up in a asymmetrical or symmetrical pattern.
The air is better today . Still on high alert
. Hope for rain soon. It’s always dark and orange/peach cast over the landscape.
We are all strong and any challenges sent our way, take it one day at a time. The birds are starting to come back. That’s a good sign...
Sending blessings to all.

I've limit my news intake, but think I'm going to stop watching it for a few days.
I'm just so angry with officials handling of the pandemic, economy, and social injustices. Everything has turned upside down. The abnormal has become normal, and the lack of civility is glaring. It's like being Alice in Wonderland.
But I'm going to take a page out of your book BnotAfriad and focus on hope and things I'm grateful for.
Stay safe everyone.

Awesome HT!!! I am so happy you have a computer now!!!
Thank you Chotti, I really enjoy doing different types of art. And birch bark has a lot of character.
Trina, you are like a bright star or the sun here. Giving everybody hope.
FP... I have limited my news intake too. Too much injustice. Too much politics.
I hope you all have a good day today. Sky is pink so maybe rain. Supposed to be colder for a few days.
Hugs, Karen...

Checking in. Each day with my dentures gets easier. I'm still not thrilled with appearance, but that's a whole conglomeration of things. I'm eating more at least. I think I've found the best adhesive for me, which helps a lot!
The asters are in full glory in the garden. So nice to sit outside without mosquitos and just watch all of the sulpher butterflies coming for their nectar! The Autumn Joy sedums are looking fabulous, too! The berries on the pyracanthus are such a vibrant shade of orange, thus pyra (fire) is such an appropriate name! Still to come are the Montauk Daisies and Pineapple Sage and the turning of the leaves to their fall colors. The New England False Grape vine is loaded with berries that will soon be shades of blue, violet and purple. Any day now, the mums will add to the color symphony. I love this time of year!
Yesterday, although I don't 'need' anything, I made the rounds of the thrift shops a bit later than usual. So glad I did!! I've been changing my decor over to French Country/Shabby Chic and lo and behold...I found a 6ft tall, 18 inch wide framed mirror! The mirror itself is only about
10in wide, the rest is the frame which is carved beautifully! Green/gray in tone. There were 3 panels, but I only had room for one in my home and budget...$19.99...and I still got my Senior discount!!! I should not have picked it up and carried it to the register (I'm paying for it in another way) but I didn't want anyone else to snatch it up! I also found 2 'chubby bird' statues in turquoise glaze! Someone else quickly got the other 2 panels so we both lucked out!
Then, I stopped at thrift store #2 but found nothing...then #3 and found 2 turquoise 'sandwich' plates, 99cents, half off sale, so 2/$1. Last stop were more treasures! An antique milk glass barber's bottle with stopper, a milk glass trinket box Westmorland Quilt pattern, and milk glass blue Avon fragrance container shaped as a birdhouse. I was totally blessed!
I had to shut the windows last night and put the space heater on. This is the part of the seasonal change I don't like...colder temps. Still, with the changes I've been making in the house, I think I'll be more content this year. I'm less cluttered and so many lovely things surrounding me now...and so much less stress now that I have the house to myself (and the pets). Lisa is back to work, so we're back to just weekends, but making the most of it. We bought a smaller crock pot for those anticipated winter meals that can be started before we go run our errands. I really want to use more winter squashes and other vegetables now...stretch my palate a bit.
Praying for those in fire and flood areas. I cannot even imagine! Not thrilled to hear they've almost exhausted the storm names already...with 2 more months to go!

Today was eventless for me.
Earlier today I went to Wal-Mart to purchase a new pair of sneakers and new jeans.
I hate shopping for clothes and shoes. But I had to do so at some point.
Doing well, though. It's been a nice day for me.

I also hate clothes and shoes shopping... that's why whenever I find something that fits, I buy multiple copies thereof, especially in the case of shoes, shirts and pants. Also, I just go with Amazon instead of going out to shop, since Walmart and the like often don't have more than one of what I want to buy.
Anyhow, the smoke is still strong with us here, along with the ash and unhealthy to hazardous air quality. It's no fun, but as a sign of hope, an active weather system is forecast to arrive on Friday and start to clear things up.

Pitmom, your garden sounds fabulous and you made some good scores thrifting. I got my senior discount at the thrift store today, too. I found an old cowboy print from the 50’s that had been glued to a board and then heavily varnished. I’m going to see how much it will clean up.
I stopped by my friend’s house for dinner tonight. I had Sid with me and he was actually playing with her 5 month old golden retriever - for a little while. He is showing more agility every day. I’m not sure if it’s because he is more comfortable with me or getting stronger, or both. I am getting some tail wags and the occasional smile, but no kisses or “leans” yet.
PauI, I hope the smoke clears up soon. I hear that it has made it all the way to Europe! My son is now out of the evacuation zone and can go back to work. So I can stop worrying about
that kid and start worrying about
the other one who is having mild Covid symptoms. He is having trouble getting tested because he doesn’t meet the hospital’s criteria. But they will be having free testing at the college this weekend. The main issue is that he lives with my frail 86 year old mother in law.
As Roseann Rosannadanna used to say, “It’s always something!”

Spoke with psych nurse about
tweeking my meds. I'm currently on Wellbutrin 300 mg. She suggested combining Zoloff or Lexapro with it, but I'm nervous about
the weight gain associated with the medications.
The psych nurse then suggested increasing my Wellbutrin to maximum. I really didn't want to increase the dosage or get on another medication, but I'm full of anxiety and feel like I'm not living-just existing. I'm hoping the increase in medication along with exercise will help.

FP, I have been on Wellbutrin 300mg for 20 years. In that time I have also taken Celexa, Lexapro, Effexor, Duloxetine and Fetzima with the Wellbutrin. I never had any weight gain with any of them or any difficulties combining them with Wellbutrin.
I have a phone job interview scheduled for Monday. Now I am all nervous. I will try not to run through all possible questions in my head prior to it.
One of the dogs at the farm, who used to be mine, has a possibly serious eye problem. The vet down there can't see him for 10 days and my husband can't/won't pay for it anyway. So I am driving down there tomorrow to pick the dog up and take him to my vet on Saturday. Fortunately , he and Sid have met and are buds.
Paul, I hope the smoke is getting better. and I hope no one has been seriously affected by Hurricane Sally.

Thanks, Buena... An active weather system is forecast to arrive later today, so perhaps the smoke will start to clear out. Of course, they said that about
earlier in the week, but the smoke managed to divert another weather system away from here.
In any case, good luck on your job interview! One thing I'd keep in my mind is that the interviewer is often as nervous as the candidate, especially if the candidate is a good fit for the position. You may have more power than you know!
