This morning, I felt mildly depressed while volunteering at the food pantry.

But now that that's over with, I'm feeling pretty good again, as I am at my home. I'm just going to take it easy this afternoon and enjoy myself.

Hi Jamie. Thanks for starting the Daily.

Mike, I think a food pantry would depress me these days. I am earring there is not enough coming in and the boxes are not full. I donated a monthly amount to the Salvation Army. Their money % to needs is much higher then Red Cross.

Interesting Trivia fact: During World WarII Redcross charged service men for donuts and coffee. NO matter where the location was. Salvation Army did not.
I am not 100% per cent sure. I believe it may be the same all the way through to this day.

Egads!!!!!

3hrs todays trying to figure out on eBay to load NJ's tax exempt number, since our State does not charge tax on the site.

Unreal with frustration. Finally I searched the web for a customer service no. I will call tomorrow. It is upsetting for me. I was so dynamic with computers, programs, etc.. before 2010.
a programs could be loaded and in 2 days I could have it figured out, and be using it...

Know I am luck if I hit the send on emails, texts and posts here and facebook. Saddens me, really.

If this is the worse of my problems, I have it easy.
Wasted the afternoon when I could have called first! Ego, I can figure this out!!

Lesson, take the easy way next time...

Sad for the loss of Moki. Circle of life.

Had a good run at the thrift shops again...more added to my stash of decor. Found some fabulous pinecone inspired pieces to display for winter. Another fleur de lis, two more tin pots and a gorgeous platter. Good thing I change things continuously!

Loving my electric fireplace...great for getting the chill out in the mornings! Mostly I just use it for the ambience. Just seeing the flickering flames helps me feel cozy. Will be getting my kerosene delivery tomorrow, so the whole house will be warm if needed. I also got some battery operated candles from Lisa for my birthday...I cannot be trusted with real ones!

Cleaned up the veggies in the garden. Moved the Adirondak chairs for a different perspective and to enjoy the sun as much as possible when it's shining. This will also allow for more space to pile any snow (hoping we don't get much this winter). Planning on raised beds for more veggies next year.

My fuse was a tad short today.

Regarding eBay and tax exemption, shouldn't eBay handle it automatically based on your address? At least that's what I've usually seen with other sites... Of course, they all remember that my state charges sales tax even if the site is located in a state that doesn't. 😐

HT, I keep thinking that if it's warm enough for you to go to the beach, it should be cold and snowy up here in the mountains in the other hemisphere. But it is warm enough to go to the beach here today too, and windy. There are huge fires burning out of control again. One of them grew 100,000 acres from yesterday to today, which is unheard of. Fortunately, they aren't too close to me and we don't have as many dead, beetle-kill pines here, but it still makes me a little edgy.

Don't know about the other countries but I did read the groups of people, like town waTch groups patrol and try to find and scare them off with someone always filming.

Yes, all life forms in fires causes the turtle heart break.
It was overcast but okay. Still is today, and cold. Spring is unusually cold this season.

Saw this great article on parents love or lack of, effects the child's adulthood. Plus how intimacy is handled.

We don't talk about that, we know all of us deal with the same issues and we are not alone.

This article is written on behalf of the daughter. I think it would help anyone that has been on a healing journey for awhile, being able to understand the concepts.

I know, heard it before Yada Yada. But something clicked when I read it. It was a release of tight emotion some where deep inside.

I hope this eases someone.

I didn't know hummingbirds were so trusting... but it's good to see!

Regarding the article about unloved daughters, I think it applies just as well to sons, except the emotions are expressed differently -- hostility, anger, inability to form relationships, maybe even "incel" tendencies (the new toxic version). In any case, it's a good read.

Been a bit down. Feel like a depression episode is coming on. I literally had to force myself to wash my hair and can sleep for hours and still get tired. Ate like a pig this weekend, despite being in a diet and I really don't care.

Tomorrow I'm going to try and get back on track. Already scheduled myself to exercise for at least 30 minutes. I'm also going to try vote and get it out of the way. I hope the lines won't be long.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Sorry to hear that, Forever. I've been similar with sleep... all night and most of the day at times, yet still feeling tired.

Finally moving this week (I know it's boring, but it's a pain that doesn't help anything... sort of like whack-a-mole in sorting out everything that's accumulated over the last 20 years).

Hope everyone is doing well, or as well as possible.

Hi everybody,

I been reading but not posting much. Been dark and dreary here for two months. Maybe three days of sunshine. It has been cold too.

Trying to get things set for winter which will be arriving soon. We have waken up to snow a few times, usually melts through out the day though.

I have been feeling okay mentally. Just a little bummed about the weather. I hope you all have a good day today. Keep posting as it helps.

I thought the article was shy on emotions not felt by women.

We also have the ones you mentioned. Especially if physical abuse is in the mix.

I see this often in articles.
I have pondered the issued, decided the people are keeping articles short and focused.

No doubt to move people on to healing.

Sad to hear you are down in a dark place.

Well down washing you hair etc... 30min exercise. If you do 10min it is a victory to build on!

Today is chilly, but clouds are gone and sun is out.
Doodle wants to walks. I can't my pain is to high.
So I am sitting out back with out doing this.
Victory.
Alot of days I wash my hair in the sink
Take sponge baths etc.
I bath before going to be
Can not sleep unless I bath in some fashion

I hope everyone rises from mire of depression, hope is always there. Waiting for us to grab it, like the brass ring on a merry goround!

Hi all. Guess I'm almost through my tough months...Mom's anniversary of passing is fast approaching...things should get better after.

Not much going on. Cleaning up more in the garden. Some honeysuckle bloomed! The Pineapple Sage is doing wonderfully! We've been having fog and drizzle and the Montauk Daisies are drooping sadly. The Virginia Creeper has hit it's vibrant stage and the Burning Bush is true to it's name. We're close to 'peak' here, it will all be gone all too soon. Expecting even worse weather with the latest hurricane bringing Nor'Easter conditions in a couple of days.

I'm not loving my dentures, but I'm not hating them either. Feeling more 'normal' with them in now and disliking having them out...but I worry about the zinc in the adhesive...so I give myself a break every couple of days. Eating is getting easier...I've even been enjoying cashews again!

Got my kerosene delivery for the furnace, so I'm nice and warm. Enjoying the ambiance of the fireplace in the evenings, even without the heat element on. So far, so good! Hope everyone is having a peaceful 24 hrs.

family scare late last night.
Bro in Melbourne taken to hospital with gangreen in leg.
Poor diabetes control and unclean conditions he lives in. Was at risk we were told due to sepsis.
This morning i was informed that they removed his leg and he is stable.

HT, just wanted to add my well wishes for your brother as well. Good to hear that he's stable, given the procedure he had to go through.

Trina, going back to that article, I agree that's focused on a daughter's experiences and emotions. It seems those emotions have natural analogs in sons, but it would be good to read a similar article devoted to them.
