I've been feeling overwhelmed and depressed for a couple of days now.
I
opened up an online business a few months ago. I did this to generate additional income, with the hopes of making it a full time job; however, it's not going as I expected as I'm not selling much, etc. It's frustrating because I go to bed and wake up thinking of ideas to make my business grow. I KNOW I have to give it time, but it's hard when it seems nothing much is happening.
To top it off, I'm so uncomfortable in my own body as I put on a lot of weight. Trying to lose it is so hard as I'm an emotional eater. It also seems the older I get, the easier it is to put on weight, but harder to shed the pounds like I did in my 20s and 30s. To make matters worse, one of my knee cap felt like it 'popped out', so I can barely walk, much less exercise.
I'm just so frustrated that the depression and anxiety are starting to creep back up. I tell myself to take things one day at a time and not try to lose hope, but it's hard when things aren't going your way.

Hi Forever,
I am sorry for what you are going through. Do you go to any type of therapy? It might be something to consider. I think it would help you cope with your situation. Maybe some yoga or meditation would help.
Your online business will probably wax and wane. People purchase things for special occasions. Birthdays, holidays or just because. I don't remember what you are selling, but I am sure it will pick up.
Things are so temporary. So know that they will be getting better. Life is full of all kinds of these situations. Up and down. Know that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
There will be many times that things don't especially go the way that we want. Then you move your mind to something else. Maybe a good book or a new hobby. Don't ever give up. Things do always get better, just keep hanging on Forever. You'll be feeling better in no time.
Hugs, Karen...

Hi Forever
I get it.
The more you try, the the deeper the mire.
Is okay. Use your skills so you do get to a crisis state.
Here is a 10 min meditation for anxiety I keep in Samsung notes
Handy when I want it.

Hi Forever,
FWIW, I would see a doctor regarding the knee if you can... or at least I know from experience how something simple but physical can cause a downward spiral. It's the first thing I'd do if possible.
Also, I've a bit of past experience with online selling. Long story, but marketing and advertising are pretty much everything. It was almost like magic when we found ways to notify lists of potential customers. Sadly, that was partly responsible in getting us canned as well, thanks to the select few who complained about
spam. But that's how it goes in this line of work. If you can find better ways to market and advertise, especially via quality potential customer lists, that could make all the difference.
