Scared of side effects

I am new to this depression thing, I think I have been suffering from it for awile now but just came clean to my doctor recently.  She prescribed me prozac 10mg for 2 weeks then 20mg after that, my 2 weeks are up and nothing is changing yet, she told me it would take at least a month. I am very concerned about the side effects such as loss of sex drive (which I have very little already) and weight gain.  I would be very interested in learning some of the side effects that everyone has had on this med.  Thank you so much for your responses!! 

Side effects for prozac can be different for different people. I know of people who have actually lost wieght with Prozac. The best thing to do is to stick with it for 4-6 weeks and see how things progress as some of the side effects are only temporary. If you find that the prozac does not work or you are concerned about some of the side effects, speak with your doctor and talk about changing the med to a different AD.
