Doing well on Pristiq, but thinking about pregnancy...

My husband and I were thinking of trying for a baby this spring/summer. My psychiatrist is of the opinion that I should stay on the 25 mg of Pristiq (lowest dose) I take, and get off of it during my last trimester.

Have any women in here decided to stay on their antidepressants during pregnancy? I feel nervous taking it while pregnant, but I also feel nervous not taking it while pregnant...

All you can do is try. It sounds like your doc knows what they are talking about. There may be something else you can take if the depression is bad. Or go back on the pristiq if need be. I take 150mg of pristiq so 25 is very low.

Having a baby is such a blessed event. I think you will manage. Best wishes...
