Problems with thinking and memory with depression??

So, do many of you have problems with slow thinking, memory and coming up with names with your depression??? I seem to have that issue. I hope it's just not an age thing. I've been on almost all antidepressants and now they are switching me to effexor. I am so tired of not being able to think!!!! I hope it helps. I used to take Pexeva but it's name brand and never went to generic, so I can't get it. I have rough side effects. Before I tried effexor and felt wonderful, no more GAD, but I missed three days and had withdrawal. I am a little scared but desperate, so I think I am going to try it. My mind worked very well with wellbutrin but it made me have muscle aches-(((( So hard. Thanks in advance.

I switched to Pristiq this year and seems to helping a lot with anxiety as well. Hope this helps.

Hello, I have this issue and it could be part of the depression.

However, the following causes memory loss also.

PTSD
the med topomax
many anti-depressant meds.
Head injuries
Chemical inbalance of the brain,.

I look at it as an adventure and try to keep notes in the memo app of my phone. Otherwise I come straight out and say, I have short term memory loss, yada, yada yada

I have yet to see that it causes a problem
