Hello. I’m new

I am on day 14 of taking Lexapro and I am still so nauseous. No appetite. I don’t know if I should try to switch to something else or just wait a little longer. I really don’t want to switch and have to go through the side effects again. I’m just feeling so frustrated and I only want to stay in bed all day.

Thank you. My doc said give it another week if I can but we may need to make a change. I have quite a bit of anxiety about, well, everything... including changing the medicine. I understand it is a process.

I am glad you talked to your doc. Yes, I would follow the recommendation. I tried lexapro and it worked well, but later on (as I always do) I got side effects I couldn't handle. When you get them in the beginning they generally go away. But I get them later on and they stay as long as I am on the medication. I have had a lot of trouble with SSRI's. I do SNRI's okay though. I have been taking pristiq for over 10 years now. Before that I took effexor for 15 years. They are both an SNRI.

I hope that you feel better soon. It is a process and a challenge. And yes it heightens the anxiety when we have to try something new. But you will get through it.
