I am happy I survived my son's wedding and even though it is only 50 degrees in Miami, where I am today, I went to the beach. I love the beach and Iowa is a long way from one. Go home on Friday. Diane

I had to put my 15 yr old Beagle down a few months back, hard decision, but I couldn't watch her suffer (cancer), I would love to have a beagle puppy. I found a kitten on my roof about a month ago and she is part of the family now.
I did 2 loads of laundry and gathered some kids clothes that I will take to someone who really needs them tomorrow. I vaccuumed the living room and rode 4 hrs to Arkansas and back. Actuallly doing alot better than I was around Christmas. I have to go to the unemployment office tomorrow, too, so hope it is a good day. I think i'll go through some toys tonight and take some of those, too. I like this thread, I guess I do more than I felt like I was doing and I know of some able bodied people that do less, so I feel better. Thanks for starting this thread.....

Today??? I was able to do some clean-up (still putting away Christmas stuff) for about 3 hours today, then I was Done! A friend came over who is helping with an addition project. Been waiting on him for near a year and the strangest thing happened. I emailed a friend who works with him and asked that he forward it to this guy. about 2 hours later the guy we're waiting for called! I was stunned. But the funny part is he hadn't seen the email I sent yet. Wow, were we on the same wave length. Hubby and I enjoyed seeing him tonight.

Last night I cooked a complete dinner without burning a single thing, or setting fire to as much as pot holder!  Yes...may sound simple but this is quite an accomplishment for me!

Talked DH into taking me out to dinner last night!. Speaking of pot holders, mine are missing,
don't know where I put them and got some good exercise looking for them...still looking.

That is really funny Sherrine! Littleneck, try adding Lemon juice. You do not even have to peel it if you have a juicer. I will start juice again once I have my house back! (Maybe) ;)

got the bathroom cleaned today, yuck... Also went through closets to sort through stuff. Did dishes, cooked supper and made peanut butter cookies. So very productive day for me today.

The sun is shining through the window as I sit here and type, it is these kind of days that make it worth getting out of bed.

Well, I just about have the pantry done.  I'm waiting for my daughter to have a few of the boards shortened.  She said she would do that tomorrow. 

 

This morning I drove out to the local strawberry farm to get my berries.  They were on Fox New yesterday so that was neat for me.  Anyway, they are holding their own so far but we have another cold front coming through this weekend and they even have forecast possible snow flurries!  The Tampa International Airport had to delay flights due to ice on the plane wings a couple of days ago.  We don't have the equipment down here that they have at the airports up north because we are in the Tropics.  This isn't supposed to be happening!  They had to wait until the sun came up for the ice to melt naturally.  shakehead 

 

Anyway, I was snug and warm in my car to I headed to a couple of grocery stores and took advantage of their sales.  I have all the groceries put away now and plan on giving myself a manicure.  I can't type for a while after that so I thought I'd post now. 

 

I'm glad you all are enjoying this thread.  So am I!  Isn't it amazing what we REALLY do daily?  You don't realize it until you put it in writing.  I know I'm smiling as I'm reading all of your entries.  That helps me a lot and I hope it's helping you, too.

I went into town to pick up a prescription.  The last one I picked up, the co pay doubled from 20.00 to 40.00.  I was worried that this one would too, but it didn't.  I was so happy.  I picked up a few more grocery items and was back on my way.  The sun was out so the drive was nice, but it sure was cold.  I can't wait for it to warm up to 30 degrees.  lol...  That is a heat wave here. 

I am sorry about your jets and air planes Sherrine.  Probably a blow dryer would have done the trick.  But I bet that there were a lot of inconvenienced, late, people.  Better safe than sorry.

I still haven't made it to my office closet. Decided I needed to do some general cleaning Wed and did all the hard surface floors yesterday so took today off. I have a large box on top shelf of closet I need DH to get down anyway that is full of old bills.

 

I have been picking up paint samples for inspiration to redo some rooms.

 

I put a roast in the oven yesterday and didn't burn it Donna. We moved in this house the 1st of May 4 1/2 yrs ago and that Thanksgiving I had to get the book out to learn how to turn the oven on cause I had never used it.

 

I have so much I want to get done this winter spring will be here before I know it. tongue

 

This really was a great idea Sherrine.

I got alot more done today then I had expected. Once I got moving, I felt so much better, even
ran errands in the freeezing cold, came home, caught up on the laundry and cooked dinner.

I am enjoying reading everyones enteries, it helps get me going. Before long we will be a
group of energizer fibromites.

Robin, my biggest problem is getting going on a project. The mind is willing but can't get the body going. Once I do start seeing an improvement it gets easier.

 

Told DH about the box in the closet I need down so might work on that some today.

 

The sun is shining today, but it is only 3 degrees.

Marlee, I have days too where there are certain projects I need to get done and my body isn't
going to cooperate, so it waits. I take it easy then and do something relaxing or do something
that doesn't require much effort. Today I will get things done, those that don't require much
effort.

Chutz, I am so so glad to hear about Cedar!  I love the name!  I gotta have lots of animals. 

Marlee,  I love re-painting rooms!!!  After a few hours, you have a completely new, fresh look!!!  Can I come over and help?

Let's see, I am going to plant some peas today.  I bought some new "hot press boards" to motivate me to do some drawing again. 

I can't wait to read more of these posts!!

Gretchen, I welcomed your willingness to help on yesterday Koffee Klatch.

 

I did get the big box emptied yesterday. You could tell what years I started having less energy by how things were filed. Everything for 2000 to about 2002 were sorted in folders nice and neat and the rest was thrown on top. That box only went up to 2005 and 2006 so I still have a lot more to go through but it was a start.

 

Tomorrow is another day.

Diane, I'm sorry you chose such a bad time to go to Fl, what a bummer.

 

I'm going through papers in the dreaded closet and not enjoying one minute of it. The reason I started on that closet is because I knew it was going to be my least favorite thing to do this winter. Probably won't last too long at it today with my hands but that's alright I don't care to work on it long. Have to keep telling myself how much space I will have in there for storage and how nice it will look.

The weather has warmed up to 45 and it is a beautiful sunny day. I am actually going to

be able to get my walk outside today. The fresh air will do my body good! I'm so glad

that normal temps are back again!

My hobby is genealogy and I'm going to be going to my mom's 90th birthday party soon with lots of sibs, cousins aunts and uncles there.  So I wanted to be able to take a big ancestor chart showing many generations for every one to see.  However, I am not very computer oriented to say the least and was dreading the task of trying to print out this tree.  After much ado, and lots of cheat notes to myself---Wah la!  I did it!  And it came out nice!

Well my good news is that i am getting married in august.. we move into our own little love nest is march and things are coming fast.. i never thought planning a wedding a could be so much "Fun" and then adding a move in there along with it is so exciting

i have been cleaning, packing searching the internet for dresses and ideas, and on top of everything else this is my first winter in a long time that i actually survived not being sick * knock on wood* so far..

I love this idea everyone needs to see some good news in todays world

Boy, we really are getting some good news!  Congratulations, Carnissa!  That REALLY is good news!  It is a very exciting time...for sure!  It will all come together and will be wonderful.  Keep us filled in on your progress, okay?

 

Yo Yo, I'm into genealogy too.  Do you have Family Treemaker?  It is software that does the family trees several different ways.  You just record the info you have...even special notes...and then you can print out the tree, with or without the notes.  It's really neat!

 

My good news is I got together with some friends this weekend for dinner and dominoes.  We play a game called Mexican Train and it is fun.  It's a no-brainer and that's the type of game I need these days!  turn   Anyway, I beat everyone at it so I was happy, happy!

 

Then, this morning, I met a friend for breakfast.  We haven't sat down and talked for over a year so we had a lot of catching up to do.  We both had a good time and decided we will start getting together more frequently.

Note to  Sherrine--Yes, I do have Family TreeMaker but I still have anxiety attacks trying to use it or try anything new on it.  I know, I know--it really won't blow up!  But you never know!

I had a very busy day today.  I took the dog to be groomed and then ran up to the surgery center.  I had a friend that had cataract surgery this morning and needed a ride home.  When I got back from that I had to pick up the dog and take her home before I left for a massage.  I sure needed it by that time!  LOL  But, the massages really help me.  Now I hope tomorrow is as constructive.
