As Grace says, make a list. You might even want to put it on your cell phone... because if you are like me you will lose that piece of paper.
As far as the pain goes, you will learn to ignore/deal/treat it as we all have. You can't always make it go away but you will find that doing things differently can help.
Things that work for me:
*Get absorbed in something. - When I'm painting or decorating cakes my concentration level often blocks all of the pain. Afterwords I'm stiff and sore but the time I'm absorbed is pain free.
*Change the way you do things. - Sit in the kitchen to peel and prepare foods. If you don't have a kitchen table in there, get a tall stool. Turn sideways and then stand from a chair at the table instead of trying to push the chair back and stand. When you turn sideways you can use the table for support.
*Give yourself permission to take an afternoon or after work nap. Set a timer if you have a schedule to keep.
*Rest often while doing chores. I use the electric carts in the grocery store. This gives me enough energy to load the car and put the food away when I get home. - In the mall stop and sit on a bench for five minutes between stores. Even a short rest will let your energy level rebound. - I sit while vacuuming, moving from chair to chair much of the time. Less pain and the job gets done. (slower but done!)
If you look around at your world you will find that there a several ways to conserve energy and still accomplish what you need to get the jobs done. You just have to adapt and give yourself permission to do things a bit differently. Take care and be kind to yourself.
