Hi, Newt, and welcome! I'm so glad you found us and joined in. Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
I will get muscle jerks in small areas but not like what you are describing. I know I would want to see my doctor sooner. Most doctors reserve some time each day for "emergency" visits. It's so difficult for me to call the office and see the doctor but I call his nurse's extension instead and let them know that I'm having a problem and need to see the doctor. I usually get in that day! The receptionists can't do that. So, see if your doctor has a special nurse and what their extension number is. You can describe what is happening to you now. I'm sure he/she'd what to see you! It could be something besides fibro going on.
My only other suggestions would be a gentle massage. Those help me a lot and that might calm the muscles down. Here is a link to find a good massage therapist close to you. The people in this organization have to contiune their massage education yearly or they will be dropped from the organization. Gentle massages help...deep massages usually don't and can hurt you.

Be sure to check out Fibro 101...the first thread on the forum. There are links to good information about fibromyalgia and you will learn a lot there.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. I do hope you get some answers about your muscular problems, too. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Hope to hear more from you soon.
