Questions for Rheum.

I am going to visit the Rheum. doc tomorrow - I have only met this Doctor one time (the day he diagnosed me). My Doctor is more than happy to help me in anyway he can but feels the Rhuem. would be better at helping me with issues.

I am just going for a basic check in. Here I am. This is what I am on - these are my results, symptoms etc.

Are there any questions I should ask?

I am sorry but I can't give you any pointers. I have come to the conclusion after so many tests, scans, biopsy attempts, failed different drugs due to side effects, That unless something really odd and different comes up that I am just going to do what I have been doing which is not a whole lot. No narcotics, some muscle relaxers, anti depressants, my bed buddy and hot tub, and every now and then a few days on the couch.

I am seeing my PCP next Tuesday and am going to run my thoughts past him and I really hope he agrees.

Hi Lissa -

Take with you any reports from any tests, including any blood work, that you may have had from other doctors. Write down your complaints and questions before you go, but try to stick with only a couple of complaints or questions to actually ask.

You're on quite a few meds for fibro. Are they all helpful? That would be something to talk with your rheumy about.

You might want to keep a pain log the week before you see the rheumy and take it to your appointment. I have to write down my questions, or I forget to ask them. I also have a typed "current medication list" that I take to my appointments.
