My sons got me another dog for Mother's Day.  Her name is Joplin(yes, as in Janis)....she is a precious little lab mix...a rescue.  I know she can't replace Dylan but I already know she is a blessing.  Such an affectionate little girl...

GO FUR BABIES...the best medicine ever!

aaww, I love puppies and I am happy you can see her personality all ready!!! You are right, we can never replace but we can add to the joy and always remember them all.

Donna, your poem touched my heart...I do believe Dylan will meet you at those pearly gates! yeah Joplin sounds precious...and I know she will take a piece of your heart :) and bring you much joy! yeah

Joplin will soon heal the hole in your heart left by Dylan. She will NEVER replace Dylan, but she will fill you with joy. As you said, the perfect medicine. I don't know what I'd do without my three four-legged kids

yeah   yeah yeah   A new best friend to love!  How wonderful.  Just think of all of the sweet kisses and an instant bed warmer, too!  I love the name Joplin, too.  Enjoy the latest member of your family.  I'm sure she'll put many smiles on  your face.

Hi Donna, Im so glad that you have Joplin now to keep you busy. The poem was beautiful and so true. Dylan would not want you to be sad forever. The ones we loved can never be replaced but we have the capability to add others into our love circle. Enjoy your new friend Donna you deserve her and she needs you.

How wonderful Donna. Joplin will be so much fun. It's always so sad when we lose our furry "children", but a new "baby" helps to cheer us up. Then we fall in love again with a wet nose and little licks. And it sounds like you are going to be throwing lots of balls, etc. to be retrieved.
I've had a lab before.

What a great poem. I think we can all relate to your words.

What a terribly sweet thing for your sons to do! They knew you and Joplin needed each other. I'm so happy you now have each other. Enjoy all the puppy kisses your little girl has to give.

I was blessed w/ a beautiful yellow lab yrs ago. She was a big girl who thought she was a 'lap' dog. I was pregnant when we got her and she kept getting inched off any lap space by 'unseen' baby'. She was the most gentle, maternal 'puppy' I have EVER known.

You have wonderful sons and a darling new 'baby', what a lucky Mom you are. And they are all lucky to have you.

Enjoy it all, my dear friend.
