What do you think of the new videos at the top of the page???

Has anybody checked out the new videos at the top of the page yet?  There is a short ad in front of them, but I have read a few on depression and found them to be helpful.  Let us know what you think.  Peter got them for us.

I have not looked at all the videos, but so far they have not been helpful. They make the pages take a lot longer to load.

The advertizing is too loud, annoying and deceptive, but I have only seen one, repeated on all the videos I've viewed.

I'm not against the videos. Maybe they could be screened. The ads too.

I run Firefox and can block out a lot of it. But, the facts are this place isn't free to keep running so Peter has to find a way to keep it up and running. Without much in the way of donations he needs to resort to advertising. Sometimes when you sell a 'block' of ad space you aren't sure of exactly which ads will be playing. There are some that I haven't appreciated but for the most part I am here to read and sorry to say that if they bug me I block them. Those are the facts as I know them.

At the (kind of) top of the page, there are four videos to choose from to watch. All you have to do is click on them to watch them.

I think it's a very nice idea and am not realy botherd by the few seconds difference it takes to load a page nor by the ads. As said above this website doesn't pay itself.

I checked out a few videos on Fibro and found them very helpfull.

So from my pint of view: Keep up the good work!! :)

Truthfully, I'd rather there was a link we could click to take us to a different page with all the videos on it. I don't have any trouble with speed or the page loading, but I find the ads distracting plus they take up so much space at the top.

I haven't watched any of them. I've seen so many videos from my time in the Pain Clinic that most of them just repeat the same stuff over and over. There's nothing new or radical to interest me, so in essence...I find the ads here to be a big ol' pain! ;-)

But I mean that in the nicest way possible!

I like the idea. It gives you some information that I find helpful. I like to hear how other people are dealing w/ the aches/pains and different types of diagnosis. So it works for me. Glad to have them available.

I do like that they have a script that you can read. I read quicker that I can watch the video. I don't like the ads though.

I absolutely understand the need for  generating cash to keep the site up & running.  That being said, I don't like them where they are.  It is a change and change is hard for me (but that is just me). 

After not being able to get on the site because of the "fake" virus program popping up and then seeing that something was loading and taking more time than ever at the top of the post area, it was a huge distraction. 

Can't they be put somewhere else and maybe not videos that have to actually load, hence less time reading every post.  Maybe a link to them with a description?  If not that will have to be OK.

I don't know what else changed but ((((knocking on wood)))) I haven't dealt with the viri issue tonight yet, thank you for what ever was done.
