smhair   Oh my.  Said I'd never do this again, but my daughter assured me that she and her boyfriend would do most of the work.  I'm holding them to it.

Even so, it's stressful.  She thinks I'm a worrywort because I want to be prepared early...why, oh why, can't young people believe we actually have more experience in certain areas than they do??

So I'll glide around with a peaceful smile on my face and let her scramble.  I tried to spare her this, but she seems to have to learn the hard way.  I suppose I was the same way at her age.   rolleyes

Hi Debbie,

I would find it stressful, too. I can't wait for the last minute, I am prepared days ahead of time and then....... I wait! lol

I am up hrs ahead of time to get ready to go someplace. I've always been that way, whether for school or work or just life. My children are Last Minute Charlies' - drives me crazy.

Your best bet is to let DD & BF do what they promised. You take a laid back role. See how well they can work together and get everything in order. It will be a learning experience.

Oh the joy of doing a garage sale turn  yep alot of work goes into those...and then there are the people who come and think they should be able to buy a 10 speed bike for $3.00.

Debbie, I'm glad that your daughter and her boyfriend are willing to do most of the work. Oh yeah, you can advertise for the sale to begin at 8:00 AM and you will have people knocking at your door at 6:00 AM.

The last garage sale I had...the paper advertised it for the wrong week and I didn't notice the mistake. Nothing like setting up all that stuff in the yard, sitting and wondering where eveyone is...especially when you live on a back road where three or four cars might pass in an entire day. NEVER AGAIN! smhair I think the only thing worse is driving 10 miles to a sale only to discover their treasures are Cool Whip containers and half empty bottles of perfume.
